Objective: To observe the effect of salt application of traditional Chinese medicine on senile osteoporotic low back pain with deficiency of spleen and kidney.Methods: From March 2021 to March 2022,62 elderly patients with osteoporotic low back pain with spleen and kidney deficiency were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 31 cases in each group.Among them,the control group was treated with oral alendronate sodium tablets,and the observation group was treated with oral alendronate sodium tablets combined with traditional Chinese medicine salt application.The two groups were followed up for more than 12 weeks.The VAS score and TCM symptom score of the two groups before treatment,2 weeks,4 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment were recorded and compared.Before and 12 weeks after treatment,the bone metabolism indexes(serum calcium,serum phosphorus,bone alkaline phosphatase)and bone mineral density were measured,and the test results were compared before and after treatment.Finally,the overall clinical efficacy of patients after 12 weeks of treatment was systematically observed and analyzed.Results:1.Comparison of general data between the two groups.Gender,age,VAS score before treatment,TCM symptom score,bone metabolism index,bone mineral density value,etc.after analysis,there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05),which was comparable.2.Comparison of VAS scores between the two groups.Comparison between groups: there was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before and 2 weeks after treatment(P > 0.05);After 4 and12 weeks of treatment,the VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Intra group comparison: there was significant difference in VAS score between the two groups at different time points(P< 0.001).There was no significant difference in VAS score between the control group and before treatment(P > 0.05);The VAS score of 4 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment and 2weeks after treatment(P < 0.001);The VAS score of 12 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment(P < 0.001).The VAS score of the observation group decreased gradually before treatment,2 weeks of treatment,4 weeks of treatment and 12 weeks of treatment,and the difference between the two time points was statistically significant(P <0.001).3.Comparison of TCM symptom scores between the two groups.Comparison between groups: before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment,there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score between the two groups(P > 0.05);After 4 and 12 weeks of treatment,the TCM symptom scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).Intra group comparison: there was significant difference in TCM symptom scores at different time points between the two groups(P < 0.001).In the control group,there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score between 2 weeks of treatment and before treatment(P > 0.05),and there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score between 4 weeks of treatment and before treatment and 2 weeks of treatment(P > 0.05);The score of TCM symptoms at 12 weeks of treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment,2 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks of treatment(P < 0.001).There was no significant difference in TCM symptom score between the observation group at 2 weeks of treatment and before treatment(P > 0.05);The symptom score of 4 weeks after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment(P > 0.001);The score of TCM symptoms at 12 weeks of treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment,2 weeks of treatment and 4weeks of treatment(P < 0.001).4.Comparison of bone metabolism indexes between the two groups.After12 weeks of treatment,the levels of serum calcium and serum phosphorus in the two groups were not significantly higher than those before treatment(P > 0.05),and the bone alkaline phosphatase(BALP)in the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in bone metabolism between the two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).5.Comparison of bone mineral density between the two groups.After 12 weeks of treatment,the mean BMD values of the two groups were compared.It was found that the BMD values of the observation group were improved compared with the previous group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);There was no significant change in the control group(P > 0.05).The BMD value of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).6.Comparison of overall clinical efficacy between the two groups.The total effective rates of the observation group and the control group were90% and 86.67% respectively,and the effective rate of the observation group was 73.33%,which was significantly higher than 33.33% of the control group.There was significant difference between the two groups(P< 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Simple alendronate sodium tablets and traditional Chinese medicine salt application therapy combined with alendronate sodium tablets can reduce the degree of low back pain in elderly patients with osteoporotic low back pain of spleen and kidney deficiency type and improve traditional Chinese medicine syndromes,and the overall effect of combined use is better than that of single use.2.Compared with pure alendronate sodium tablets,traditional Chinese medicine salt application therapy combined with alendronate sodium tablets has no obvious advantages in improving bone metabolism and bone mineral density.
