| Objective: According to modern ERAS ’theory, this study aims to observe the effect of local fumigation and washing of Chinese herbal medicine on postoperative functional recovery of patients with C3 humeral intercondylar fracture, and to provide a preliminary basis for the study of postoperative functional recovery of C3 humeral intercondylar fracture. Methods: Based on this study, selection criteria in July 2020 to January 2021 in the affiliated hospital of shandong university of TCM orthopedics C3 type between humeral condyle fracture patients with 60 cases, and were randomly divided into the fractures of postoperative functional exercise group and fractures of postoperative function exercise with huoxue pain fumigation group,30 cases in each group. The two groups were treated with corresponding treatment methods respectively. All patients were followed up and the postoperative swelling relief was compared between the two groups.Pain index scores at 2 weeks,4 weeks,8 weeks and the last follow-up;To reach the clinical healing time of fracture; At 1 month,2 months,3 months,6 months and the last follow-up,the affected elbow joint was evaluated with Mayo Score to compare the function of the affected limb between the two groups, and the postoperative complications were recorded. Results: The 60 patients enrolled in this study were followed up for 12-18 months, with an average follow-up time of 14.6 months. There was no significant difference in general data(P >0.05),indicating comparability.Comparison of postoperative observation indicators between the two groups showed that the final complete regression time of swelling in the TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine group was(6.25±1.26)weeks,and that in the conventional group was(7.13±1.24)weeks,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average fracture healing time of the traditional Chinese medicine group was(10.26±1.27)weeks,and that of the conventional group was(11.14±1.25)weeks,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS pain scores of patients in the conventional group at week 4 and week 8 after surgery were much higher than those in the traditional Chinese medicine group at the same time, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Mayo Clinic score of elbow joint in the TCM group was generally better than that in the conventional group at 1,2,3 and 6 months of postoperative follow-up,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in pain scores and Elbow Mayo score between the two groups at the second week of postoperative follow-up or at the last follow-up(P> 0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative complications(P>0.05).Conclusion: This study fully demonstrates that functional exercise combined with local fumigation and washing of Traditional Chinese medicine has a relatively precise comprehensive clinical effect, and has the advantages of short time for postoperative soft tissue swelling and pain to resolve, fast healing of fracture tissue, light postoperative pain and fast recovery of elbow joint function, which is worthy of clinical application. |
