| Research background:Breast cancer has now become one of the malignant tumors that seriously endanger women’s health[1].In recent years,the incidence of male breast cancer has gradually increased.In clinical practice,the standard treatment for breast cancer is surgical resection combined with other adjuvant therapy.Chemotherapy,as the main adjuvant therapy,effectively reduces the risk of recurrence and prolongs patient survival.The most common adverse reaction after chemotherapy is myelosuppression,which significantly affects the patient’s quality of life and compliance with treatment.Objective:To explore the effect and significance of preventive application of Jiawei Bazhen Decoction before chemotherapy for breast cancer in reducing toxic and side effects after chemotherapy.Research methods:A total of 60 breast cancer patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Department of Breast Cancer and Plastic Surgery of the Third Hospital of Nanchang were randomly divided into 30 cases in each group.The control group and the observation group were given AC scheme(pirarubicin hydrochloride combined with cyclophosphamide)chemotherapy,the chemotherapy cycle was 4 cycles,each cycle was21 days.Specific medication:pirarubicin hydrochloride for injection,d1,40 mg/m2,intravenous injection,administered once every 3 weeks;cyclophosphamide for injection,d1,600 mg/m2,intravenous injection,administered once every 3 weeks.Routine compatibility of antiemetic drugs,and related symptomatic treatment.The observation group was treated with Modified Bazhen Decoction 1 day before each chemotherapy cycle,1 dose a day,twice in the morning and evening,for a total of 21 days.If the patient has discomfort during the treatment,relevant symptomatic treatment should be given.The two groups of patients were given blood routine examinations 1 day before chemotherapy,7th and 14th days after chemotherapy,and liver function tests before and after chemotherapy.The changes of white blood cell(WBC),neutrophil(NE),hemoglobin(Hb)and platelet(PLT)counts between the two groups before and after treatment were compared;the number of cases with different grades of myelosuppression between the two groups was compared;Changes in function(alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST));comparison of TCM syndrome scores and Karnofsky KPS score of quality of life between the two groups of patients before and after chemotherapy;comparison of the occurrence of myelosuppression between the two groups of patients after chemotherapy Happening.Results:Before chemotherapy,the two groups were comparable in white blood cell count,neutrophil count,hemoglobin content,platelet count,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,TCM syndrome score,and KPS score.The WBC,NE,and Hb counts of the two groups were compared between the two groups on the 7th and 14th days after chemotherapy.There is a significant difference afterwards.The PLT count values of the two groups were compared and analyzed after chemotherapy,and the P value was greater than 0.05.There was no significant difference in the PLT values between the treatment group and the control group at each time point after chemotherapy,indicating that there was no significant difference in the PLT values between the two groups at each time point..After chemotherapy,the comparison of myelosuppression grades in the two groups after chemotherapy was P value<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.The comparison of TCM syndrome scores between the two groups after chemotherapy was P<0.05,and the difference between the two groups after chemotherapy was statistically significant,indicating that there was a significant difference in the scores of TCM syndromes between the two groups after chemotherapy.The difference between the latter two groups was statistically significant,indicating that the KPS scores of the two groups after chemotherapy were significantly different and comparable.After chemotherapy,the P values of ALT and AST in the two groups were all less than 0.05,which was statistically significant,indicating that there were significant differences in ALT and AST values between the two groups after chemotherapy.Conclusion:According to the research results,Modified Bazhen Decoction can effectively prevent the decrease of white blood cells,neutrophils,and hemoglobin in patients after chemotherapy.Prophylactic application of Modified Bazhen Decoction after chemotherapy can improve the occurrence of bone marrow suppression and improve the quality of life of patients.It is suitable for promotion and application in clinical practice. |
