| Objective:Ziprasidone mesylate and haloperidol are frequently used anti-schizophrenia drugs. The effect of those two drugs on excited symbol and cardiac side effects in female patients with schizophrenia to be observed in this study, which will provide advance for the clinical treatment of such patients.Methods:1.Since May 2021,female patients who characterized with the inclusion criteria and without exclusion criteria, presented to our hospital were selected in this study. They were dividing to haloperidol group(HG)and ziprasidone group(ZG)by random numbers method. The patients in HG were treated with intramuscular injection of haloperidol and the patients in ZG were treated with intramuscular injection of ziprasidone. After acquired the normal results of pre-treatment examination, the medication was started.2.The patients excited were ECGs,the drug concentration in blood were measured at 24,48,and 72 hours after administration. The PANSS and PANSS-EC were scored at 72 h,then the respective score rates were calculated respectively, above all were used to evaluate the improvement of the general and excited symptoms of schizophrenia in patients.Side effects caused by drugs were continuously observed and quantified by TESS sores after administration, which sacrificed to compare general side effects and extrapyramidal side effects caused by the two drugs.3.Patients with no statistical difference in the age and body mass index of the study were selected to analysis in order to make the data of the two groups comparable, and 60 samples of HG and 60 samples of ZG were obtained.Results:1.After 72 h intramuscular injection of the drug, the PANSS scores of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the PANSS score and the PANSS score reduction rate of the ZG group were lower than those of the HG group, both the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The plasma concentration of HG group increased gradually with time. The plasma concentration of patients in the ZG group increased slowly with time, reached a peak at 48 hours, and then slowly decreased.3.After treatment, the patients in the HG group developed side effects of drugs such as extrapyramidal reactions, drowsiness, dizziness, and tachycardia.Except for no extrapyramidal reactions in the patients in the ZG group, other drug side effects occurred in both groups. There was no significant difference in side effects(P>0.05).After 48 h and 72 h of treatment, the QTc interval in the HG group was significantly prolonged(P<0.05),and the delay time was longer than that in the ZG group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:1.Treatment of female schizophrenia with haloperidol and ziprasidone by muscle injection would improve general and excited symptoms, whereas it more effective by administration of ziprasidone than haloperidol.2.Both haloperidol and ziprasidone could cause side effects in patients include general side effects and extrapyramidal side effects.Furthermore, the cardiac side effects caused by the former was milder than the laster. |
