| Objective:To study the expression levels of serum angiopoietin-like protein 7(ANGPTL7)and suppressor of cytokine signaling 3(SOCS3)in women with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),and analyzing the relationship of IR to ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 in PCOS,in order to provide new ideas for the pathogenesis of IR in PCOS.Methods:67 PCOS women aged 18-35 who attended the gynecological endocrine clinic of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from October 2020 to December 2021were selected,and another 33 healthy women with matched age and BMI who taking physical examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.The general clinical data of all women were collected,and sex hormones,fasting insulin,fasting glucose,lipid quadruplex,and liver function were tested according to our laboratory standards.According to the homeostasis model insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),PCOS was divided into PCOS with insulin resistance group(PCOS+IR group,25 cases)and PCOS without insulin resistance group(PCOS+NIR group,42cases).The expression levels of serum ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 in all women were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).All analyses were performed with SPSS version 26.0.All data were tested for normality and homogeneity of variance.Normally distributed variables were expressed by mean±standard deviation(??±s),and the variables of non-normal distribution were expressed by median(quartile)[M(P25,P75)];independent-samples t-test or Mann-Whitney U test was used for inter group comparison;One way ANOVA or Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison among multiple groups,and LSD was used for pairwise comparison;classification data is expressed in percentage(%);Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between ANGPTL7,SOCS3 and other indicators.The bilateralαvalue was0.05,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:1.Compared with the control group,waist circumference,WHR,WHt R,FSH,LH,T,FINS,HOMA-IR,AST,ANGPTL7,SOCS3 in PCOS group increased with statistical significance(P<0.05),FPG decreased with statistical significance(P<0.05).The percentages of PCOS phenotype A,phenotype B and phenotype D were 44.78%,37.31%and 17.91%respectively.2.HOMA-IR≥2.69 indicates IR,25 women with IR and 42 women without IR in PCOS.The incidence of IR in PCOS was 37.31%.Compared with NC group,WHR,FSH,LH and T in PCOS+NIR group increased significantly(P<0.05),while body weight,BMI,FPG,TG and ALT decreased significantly(P<0.05);In PCOS+IR group,body weight,BMI,waist,WHR,WHt R,FSH,LH,T,FINS,HOMA-IR,TG,ALT,AST,ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 increased significantly(P<0.05),and HDL-C decreased significantly(P<0.05).Compared with PCOS+NIR group,body weight,BMI,waist,WHR,WHt R,T,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,TG,ALT,ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 in PCOS+IR group were significantly higher(P<0.05),and HDL-C was significantly lower(P<0.05).3.In PCOS,ANGPTL7 was positively correlated with body weight,BMI,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,ALT and AST(r values were 0.321,0.272,0.253,0.289,0.320,0.396and 0.293,P<0.05),and had no significant correlation with other indexes(P>0.05).In PCOS,SOCS3 was positively correlated with body weight,BMI,waist,WHt R,FINS and HOMA-IR(r values were 0.424,0.435,0.422,0.434,0.290 and 0.294,P<0.05),negatively correlated with HDL-C(r=-0.282,P<0.05),and had no significant correlation with other indexes(P>0.05).There was no significant correlation between ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 in PCOS(r=0.206,P>0.05).Conclusion:The expression levels of serum ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 in PCOS women increased,and were positively correlated with HOMA-IR.It is suggested that the high expression of ANGPTL7 and SOCS3 may be involved in the occurrence of IR in PCOS. |
