Objective:To perceive the clinical efficacy of cephalic plexus acupuncture combined with distal electroacupuncture in the treatment of vertigo with inadequate vertebrobasilar artery supply, and to explore more effective methods for the clinical treatment of vertigo with inadequate vertebrobasilar artery supply. Methods:Sixty patients with vertigo due to insufficient vertebrobasilar artery supply were randomly divided into 30 cases each in the treatment group and the control group.Under the premise of basic treatment, the treatment group chose the method of head point cluster acupuncture combined with distal electro-acupuncture,and the following points were taken:Baihui point,Si Shen Cong point,Tou Wei point(both sides),Ben Shen point(both sides),Qu Cha point(both sides),Shenting point,Waiguan point(both sides),and Hegu point(both sides). The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. The differences in clinical efficacy between the two groups were comparable according to the changes in the vertigo disorder rating scale score and the clinical evidence points of TCM vertigo.Results:1.There was no momentous difference among the basic information of the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and all of them were comparable.2.Before treatment, there was no noteworthy variance in DHI mark and TCM vertigo symptom score among the treatment and control groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the DHI mark and TCM vertigo symptom score of patients in both groups were meaningfully lesser than the results before treatment in the same group, and the reduction was superior in the treatment group(P<0.05).3.Comparing the clinical efficacy of patients in the two groups, the treatment group was pointedly superior to the control group, and the variance was statistically noteworthy(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Clinical efficacy of cephalic acupuncture combined with distal electroacupuncture in the treatment of vertigo with inadequate blood supply to the vertebrobasilar artery is better than that of the conventional acupuncture group.2.Combination of cephalic acupuncture with distal electroacupuncture provides a more effective treatment for vertigo with an inadequate blood supply to the vertebrobasilar artery.
