Clinical Observation Of Therapeutic Effect On Simple Obesity With Different Waveform Electro-acupuncture

Objective: To explore the therapeutical effect of therapeutic effect,symptoms,obese indexs on simple obesity with different waveform electro-acupuncture and provide clinical evidence of better treatment program.Methods: Sixty-eight simple obesity patients were randomly divided into two groups, thirty-three in the continuous wave electro-acupuncture group and thirty-five in the disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture group. The main acupuncture points were Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Zhongwan, Quchi, Tianshu and Qihai. The XS-998B electro-acupuncture equipment was used to treat the patients. The frequency of continuous wave electro-acupuncture was 10Hz, and the frequency of disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture was 2Hz-10Hz-100Hz. The patients' symptoms and the obese indexs (arm circumference, waist circumference,abdominal circumference,hip circumference, thigh circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, the percent of fat, body mass, body mass index and the degree of obese) were observed before treatment and after treatment respectively. SPSS 15.0 software was performed in the statistical analysis.Result:(1)The two type wave electro-acupunctures both could reduce the patients' clinical symptom points. The significant difference of the points was found between pretreatment and posttreatment(P<0.01). The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture (P<0.01).(2)The two type wave electro-acupunctures both could reduce the patients' symptom points of eating too much and easy to be hungry. The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture (P<0.01).(3) The two type wave electro-acupunctures both could reduce the patients' body mass, body mass index and the degree of obese. The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture(P<0.01).(4)The two type wave electro-acupunctures both could reduce the patients' arm circumference, waist circumference, abdominal circumference, hip circumference, thigh circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, the percent of fat. The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture especially on waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio (P<0.01).(5)The tendency of body mass was descent obviously- approximate platform- descent slowly. The tendency of F% was descent slowly in the early stage. And the extent of descent was larger and larger. There wasn't obvious platform. In the first stage(day 1 to day 15): the body mass was descent obviously but F% was descent slowly. In the second stage(day 16 to day 45): F% was descent obviously but the body mass was descent slowly. In the third stage(day 46 to day 60): the body mass and F% was descent placidly. The platform period of the disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture was shorter and the extent of descent was larger than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture.(6)The total effective rate of the continuous wave electro-acupuncture was 87.88% and the disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture was 94.29%. The excellence rate of the continuous wave electro-acupuncture was 21.21% and the disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture was 45.71%. The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture on the excellence rate (P<0.01).Conclusion:Electro-acupuncture is an effectual method to treat patients of simple obesity, and can improve the patients' clinical symptoms and the obese indexs. It has the function to reduce the body mass and fat and can adjust all over the body. The disperse-dense wave electro-acupuncture is better than the continuous wave electro-acupuncture.
