Clinical Observation Of Yifei Jiangqi Prescription In Treating Chronic Persistent Asthma (Pattern Of Lung-Kidney Qi Deficiency And Turbid Phlegm Obstructing The Lung)

Objective: To monitor the variations of TCM syndromes,ACT scores,and serum ECP in patients with chronic persistent asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung)with Yifei Jiangqi prescription,and to evaluate its efficacy and safety.Methods: 68 patients with chronic persistent asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung)who visited the outpatient clinic of the Department of Respiratory Medicine,the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2019 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into treatment and control groups.The treatment group was given Seretide(50μg/100μg),1 inhalation each time,bid,and combined with Yifei Jiangqi prescription;the control group was given Seretide(50μg/250μg),1inhalation each time,bid.4 weeks of medication were spent in both groups.The two groups’ TCM syndromes,lung wheezing,ACT scores,serum ECP,and safety indexes were examined before and after being treated separately.Results:1.The overall effective rate was 93.75% in the treatment group and93.33% in the control group,with similar efficacy(P > 0.05).2.The improvement of TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group after treatment(P < 0.05).3.The improvement of ACT scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group after treatment(P < 0.05).4.In both groups,the wheezing was lower than before treatment and the efficacy was similar(P > 0.05).5.Serum ECP level decreased in both groups after treatment(P > 0.05).6.There were no significant abnormalities in the safety indexes before and after treatment in both groups.Conclusions:1.Yifei Jiangqi prescription can improve the TCM syndrome scores in patients with chronic persistent bronchial asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung).2.Yifei Jiangqi prescription can improve the ACT scores of patients with chronic persistent bronchial asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung).3.Yifei Jiangqi prescription can improve the wheezing of patients with chronic persistent bronchial asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung).4.Yifei Jiangqi prescription can decrease the serum ECP level of patients with chronic persistent bronchial asthma(pattern of lung-kidney qi deficiency and turbid phlegm obstructing the lung).5.Yifei Jiangqi prescription is safe and effective.
