Observation Of Clinical Effect Of Fumigation With Traditional Chinese Medicine On Proximal Phalanx Fracture After Kirschner Wire Fixation

Objective: Through the study of the function of the affected finger in patients with proximal phalanx fracture after open reduction and needle fixation with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation,the exact efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in functional exercise after proximal phalanx fracture surgery was discussed,in order to provide some references for the treatment of proximal phalanx fracture.Methods: Sixty patients with proximal phalangeal fractures treated with Kirschner wire fixation in the Department of Orthopedics,Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases).The two groups of patients were reviewed in the outpatient department,and the Kirschner wire was removed after clinical X-ray confirmed fracture healing.The control group was given routine functional exercise of metacarpophalangeal joint and interphalangeal joint,while the treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing therapy with Huo Xue Zhi Tong Fumigation Lotion at the same time.After 2weeks,the clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed,and the TAM(total active motion value)of fingers was observed,DASH(Disability of Arm Shoulder and Hand)score and VAS(visual analogue scale)score were used for statistical analysis.Results: The general data(age,gender,injury site)of the two groups were similar,and there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in TAM,DASH score and VAS score between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,the TAM value of the treatment group and the control group was analyzed and compared.The TAM value of the patients increased after the removal of Kirschner wire,indicating that the loss of activity of the affected finger caused by braking could be improved by rehabilitation exercise.The TAM value of the treatment group increased significantly(P< 0.05),indicating that Chinese medicine fuming and washing had obvious effect on improving the activity.The DASH score and VAS score decreased after the finger immobilization was released.The DASH score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05),and the pain in the treatment group was significantly relieved(P < 0.05).Conclusion: After the fixation of proximal phalangeal fractures with Kirschner wires,the dysfunction caused by immobilization can be improved by functional exercise.Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing can significantly improve the dysfunction of the affected finger after Kirschner wire fixation of proximal phalangeal fracture,improve the range of motion of the joint,relieve pain,promote the functional recovery of the affected finger and hand,and improve the quality of life and satisfaction...
