Objective:Using the PSQI scale and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms and Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency as indicators,to observe the clinical efficacy of abdominal cross moxibustion with separated herbs in treating insomnia with heart and spleen deficiency,in order to guide clinical treatment.Methods:60 patients with insomnia of deficiency of both heart and spleen were randomly divided into the abdominal cross moxibustion treatment group and the abdominal cross moxibustion control group. The patients in both groups were treated once a week, three times as a course of treatment. After three courses of treatment, the data of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PQSI)and the TCM symptom and sign scale of deficiency of both heart and spleen before and after treatment in the two groups were statistically analyzed to determine the difference in efficacy.Result:1.PSQI rating(1)Comparison between groupsThe total PSQI scores and various factors of the two groups of patients before treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and were comparable. After three courses of treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the total PSQI scores and various factor scores of the two groups of patients, indicating that abdominal drug separated cross moxibustion therapy is superior to abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion in improving PSQI scores.(2)Intragroup comparisonAfter three courses of treatment, there was a significant difference in the PSQI score between the abdominal cross moxibustion group and before treatment, and the therapeutic effect was significant(P<0.05).This indicates that abdominal cross moxibustion with medication separation has a significant therapeutic effect on improving the PSQI score of insomnia patients with both heart and spleen deficiency. After three courses of treatment, there was a significant difference in PSQI scores between the abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion group and before treatment(P<0.05).This indicates that abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion also has therapeutic effects in improving the PSQI score of insomnia patients with both heart and spleen deficiency.2.Scoring of Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms and Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency(1)Intragroup comparisonAbdominal cross moxibustion group:After 3 courses of treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the scores of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptom and Physical Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency compared to before treatment. This indicates that abdominal cross moxibustion with separated herbs has significant therapeutic effects on restoring the heart and spleen functions of insomnia patients with both heart and spleen deficiency.Abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion group:After 3 courses of treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the scores of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms and Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency compared to before treatment. This indicates that abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion has clinical efficacy in restoring the heart and spleen functions of insomnia patients with both heart and spleen deficiency.(2)Comparison between groupsBefore and after treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in the scores of various factors on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms and Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency between the two groups of patients(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the scores of various factors on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms and Signs Scale for Heart and Spleen Deficiency between the two groups of patients, indicating comparability; After treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in sleep status, mental fatigue, decreased appetite, dizziness, and decreased complexion between the two groups of patients(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in palpitations, forgetfulness, pale tongue coating, and weak pulse between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).This indicates that the abdominal cross moxibustion therapy with drug isolation is superior to abdominal starch isolation cross moxibustion in restoring sleep, mental fatigue, decreased appetite, dizziness, and reduced complexion in patients with insomnia of the heart and spleen deficiency type.3.Comparison of overall efficacyA total of 30 cases in the abdominal cross moxibustion group were treated,of which 5 cases were cured,13 cases were significantly effective,10 cases were effective, and 2 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 93.33%;A total of 30 cases of abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion group were treated,of which 0 cases were cured,8 cases were significantly effective,15 cases were effective, and 7 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 76.67%.After rank sum test, there was a difference in total efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05).The results showed that the therapeutic effect of abdominal cross moxibustion with drug isolation was superior to that of abdominal cross moxibustion with starch isolation.Conclusion:1.Abdominal drug separated cross moxibustion therapy and abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion therapy have both therapeutic effects on insomnia of both heart and spleen deficiency types;2.Abdominal drug separated cross moxibustion therapy is significantly superior to abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion in improving insomnia of both heart and spleen deficiency type.
