Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Damp-heat Acute Enteritis With Selfprepared Gehuang Zhixie Tang Based On Traditional Formula

Objectives:On the basis of tiaditional formula,we formulated our formula,Gehuang Zhixie Tang,to explore the clinical effects of the self-proposed formula in treating damp-heat type acute enteritis.Methods:A total of 60 patients with acute enteritis admitted to the outpatient and ward of the 960 Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects,and divided into a treatment group(n=30)and a control group(n=30)according to the random number table method.The treatment group was given self-formulated Gehuang Zhixie Tang and oral montmorillonite,and the control group was only given oral montmorillonite.And the quantitative TCM symptom classification score,Bristow stool classification score,laboratory inspection indicators,effective rate,and adverse effects of the two groups were compared.Results:The apparent healing rate of the treatment group was 80.00%,higher than that of the control group(36.67%)(P<0.05),and the total effective rate was 96.67%,higher than that of the control group(90.00%).After treatment,the Bristow stool classification score,the serum CRP value and the number of normal red blood cells in stool,and the median of three TCM symptom scores of stool character,stool frequency,anal burning,and total TCM symptom scores were more minor in the treatment group than in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The median scores of three TCM symptoms of abdominal pain,prickly heat and thirst,and short yellow urine were more minor in the treatment group than in the control group.Still the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The difference in the number of normal stool leukocytes between the two groups after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05),indicating that the difference in efficacy between the two groups in treating the above symptoms was insignificant.During the treatment process,one patient in the treatment group developed constipation,three patients in the control group developed constipation,and one patient developed skin itching.After discontinuing the medication,the adverse reactions disappeared and there were no other serious adverse reactions.This experiment is relatively safe,and there are no abnormalities in the patient’s liver function,kidney function,and blood routine examination after treatment.Conclusions:The treatment of damp-heat type acute enteritis with the selfformulated formula Gehuang Zhixie Tang and oral montmorillonite was more effective than the treatment with western medicine montelukast alone,especially in the treatment of stool properties,stool frequency,and anal burning.It can also effectively improve the patient’s serum CRP value and the number of red blood cells in stool routine,and play a therapeutic role by inhibiting inflammatory reactions and protecting the intestinal mucosa.And it has high safety and no obvious adverse reactions have occurred.
