Clinical Observation Of Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction In The Treatment Of Functional Diarrhea(Spleen And Stomach Deficiency Syndrome)

Objective :The study investigates the clinic of Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction in the treatment of functional diarrhea(people who have spleen and stomach weakness syndrome)and observes its clinical efficacy and safety.It aims to provide more clinical programs for the treatment by adopting traditional Chinese medicine.Methods :From December 2021 to December 2022,the study collected the case of 60 patients with functional diarrhea(people who have spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome).The patients were received treatment in the outpatient or inpatient department of geriatric spleen and stomach diseases in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The patients were separated into control group and treatment group randomly,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given Bifidobacterium quadruple viable tablets(Siliankang)orally,and the treatment group was given self-made Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction orally.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.Before and after treatment,the study compared the clinical effective rate,TCM syndrome score,curative effect and changes of primary and secondary symptoms.In addition,the study evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety.Results :In the experiment,both groups have 1 invalid case.Therefore,there were 29 cases actually included in the effective statistical cases respectively.The difference in the indexes between the two groups didn’t have any statistic significance(p > 0.05).1.Comparison of clinical efficacy: The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 86.21 % and 65.51 % respectively after treatment(p = 0.010 <0.05).Therefore,the difference between the two groups has statistical significance, which effectively showed that the clinical efficacy of Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction was better than that of Bifidobacterium Tetravaccine Tablets.2.Comparison of TCM syndrome scores and efficacy: The TCM syndrome scores of both groups were effectively decreased after treatment.Besides,it can be seen from the sample that the treatment group decreased more than the other group(p < 0.05).Meanwhile,the total effective rates of syndrome scores in the two groups were 89.66 %and 68.97 % respectively(p=0.008 < 0.01).The difference has statistical significance.These facts show that the treatment group is better than the control group in decreasing TCM syndrome scores and improving syndrome efficacy.3.Comparison of primary and secondary symptoms : After treatment,the scores of primary and secondary symptoms of the two groups were compared,and the difference was statistically significant(p < 0.05),indicating that the two groups had a certain effect on the primary and secondary symptoms,and from the rank mean,the treatment group was more effective in improving the number of stools,fecal traits,loss of appetite,abdominal fullness,fatigue and lack of water and grain,while the two groups were equally effective in improving fatigue,laziness and bowel sounds.Conclusion :Both Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction in the treatment group and Bifidobacterium Tetravaccine Tablets in the control group are effective in the treatment of functional diarrhea(people who have spleen and stomach weakness syndrome).However,the clinical efficacy and TCM syndrome efficacy of Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction are better than Bifidobacterium Tetravaccine Tablets.Tiaochang Zhixie Decoction can significantly improve the number of stools,fecal traits,loss of appetite,abdominal distention and fullness,lassitude and lack of water,and effectively alleviate the symptoms of lazy words and bowel sounds.No adverse events occurred during the treatment.It’s worth spreading on clinic.
