| Objective: Observing and studying the characteristics of tongue changes in patients with different syndrome types of rheumatoid arthritis(gypsum-like Belgham,flavourless Belgham,astringent Belgham,abnormal Sevda)before and after treatment under the guidelines of the Uyghur medicine,and collecting,summarizing,and analyzing data to evaluate the improvement of tongue changes in patients with different syndrome types of rheumatoid arthritis before and after treatment under the guidelines of the Uyghur medicine,To provide clinical validation basis for optimizing and improving the diagnosis and treatment of different syndrome types of rheumatoid arthritis patients in Uyghur medicine,and to provide more systematic guidance for the clinical diagnosis,treatment,rehabilitation,and long-term prognosis of this disease.Methods: Using research methods such as investigation and descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS 21.0 statistical software,the tongue characteristics of 120 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were investigated,and the correlation between tongue characteristics,syndrome types,and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients was comprehensively analyzed.Results:(1)Before treatment,120 patients with rheumatoid arthritis had the most broad and thick tongues,accounting for 37.5%.The distribution of tongue bodies was as follows: broad and thick tongues>wide and thick tongues with dentate marks on the edges>slender and long tongues.The tongue texture is mostly pale white,accounting for 51.7%.The distribution of tongue texture is: light white tongue>light red tongue>dark red tongue>dark red tongue with purple spots.The tongue coating is mostly white,greasy,slightly light green coating,and green gray coating,each accounting for 25%.The distribution of tongue coating is: white greasy slightly light green coating=green gray coating>yellow greasy coating>white greasy coating>thin white coating>thin yellow coating>no coating.(2)The distribution of tongue body in 120 patients with rheumatoid arthritis before treatment is as follows: wide and thick tongue is mainly distributed in gypsum-like Belgham,slender tongue is mainly distributed in abnormal Sevda,and wide and thick tongue with dentated edges is mainly distributed in flavourless Belgham.The distribution of tongue texture in syndrome types is as follows: pale white tongue and pale red tongue are mainly distributed in the flavourless Belgham,pale red tongue is mainly distributed in the gypsum-like Belgham,and dark red tongue and dark red tongue with purple spots are mainly distributed in the abnormal Sevda.The distribution of tongue coating in syndrome types is: no coating,thin white coating,and white greasy coating are mainly distributed in the flavourless Belgham,while thin yellow coating and yellow putty coating are mainly distributed in the gypsum-like Belgham.White greasy slightly light green coating is mainly distributed in the astringent Belgham,while green gray coating is mainly distributed in the abnormal Sevda.(3)The distribution of tongue body in 120 patients with rheumatoid arthritis after treatment is as follows: wide and thick tongue is mainly distributed in gypsum-like Belgham,wide and thick tongue with dentated edges is mainly distributed in flavourless Belgham,and slender tongue is mainly distributed in abnormal Sevda.The distribution of tongue texture in syndrome types is as follows: pale white tongue is mainly distributed in flavourless Belgham,pale red tongue is mainly distributed in gypsum-like Belgham and astringent Belgham,dark red tongue is mainly distributed in abnormal Sevda,and dark red tongue with purple spots is absent.The distribution of tongue coating in syndrome types is as follows: non coating is mainly distributed in the flavourless Belgham,thin yellow coating and yellow putty coating are mainly distributed in the gypsum-like Belgham,thin white coating and white greasy coating are mainly distributed in the astringent Belgham,white greasy slightly light green coating and green gray coating are absent.(4)After treatment and improvement,patients with rheumatoid arthritis have the most broad and thick tongues,accounting for 60.8%.The most common tongue texture is light red tongue,accounting for 90.8%.The tongue coating is the most common without coating,accounting for 55.8%.Conclusion:(1)Before treatment,the tongue appearance of RA patients was mostly characterized by broad and thick,light white tongue,white and greasy slightly light green moss or greenish gray moss.After treatment improved,they mostly showed broad and thick,light red tongue,and no moss.(2)Before treatment,the RA flavourless Belgham tongue was mostly characterized by broad and thick tongue with teeth marks on the edges,light white tongue,and white greasy coating.After treatment,it improved,and most of the symptoms were broad and thick,light red tongue,and no coating.Before treatment,the gypsum-like Belgham tongue of RA was mostly characterized by broad and thick,light white tongue,and yellow and greasy coating.After treatment,it improved,and more often manifested as broad and thick,light red tongue,and thin yellow coating.Before treatment,RA’s astringent Belgham tongue appearance was mostly characterized by broad and thick tongue with dentate marks on the edges,dark red tongue,and white greasy slightly light green fur.After treatment improved,it was mostly manifested as broad and thick,light red tongue,and thin white fur.Before treatment,the abnormal Sevda tongue in RA was mostly characterized by slender,dark red tongue,and cyan gray coating.After treatment,it improved and showed mostly slender,light red tongue,and no coating.(3)The changes in tongue appearance after treatment using the guidelines of Uyghur medicine are completely consistent with the criteria for determining the efficacy of the syndrome.The changes in tongue images after treatment once again demonstrate the accuracy of the guidelines for medication.(4)The characteristics of tongue images have important reference value for the differentiation and classification of this disease in Uyghur
