Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Mesenteric Lymphadenitis (Spleen Deficiency And Liver Swelling Syndrome) With Modified Tongxie Yaofang Abstract

Objective: To investigate the safety and effectiveness of Modified Tongxie Yaofang in the treatment of mesenteric lymphadenitis(spleen deficiency and liver swelling syndrome)in children.Methods: A total of 68 children with mesenteric lymphadenitis who were admitted to the Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 1,2020 to October 31,2021 and met the relevant criteria of this study were selected as the corresponding observation subjects.According to the principle of clinical randomized controlled trial,34 cases in experimental group,2 cases in detachment,32 cases in actual observation;Control group 34 cases,3 cases of detachment,31 cases of actual observation.The experimental group was given oral treatment of Modified Tongxie Yaofang,and the control group was given oral treatment of cefixime granules(Seifusin).After 1 weeks of treatment,the changes of symptoms(syndrome)scores in the two groups were observed,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated accordingly.Results: 1.There was no statistical significance in gender,age,disease course,lymph node,disease evaluation,primary and secondary symptoms and syndrome scores before treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.2.In terms of overall efficacy,the effective rate of the control group was 77.4%,and that of the experimental group was 87.5%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the overall efficacy of the experimental group was better than the control group.3.The scores of primary symptoms,secondary symptoms and syndromes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.01),indicating that both Modified Tongxie Yaofang and cefixime granules had good efficacy in the treatment of the disease.4.The experimental group was superior to the control group in primary symptoms,secondary symptoms and syndrome scores after treatment,with statistical difference(P < 0.05),indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in primary symptoms,secondary symptoms and total syndrome efficacy.5.In the treatment of this disease,the experimental group had better efficacy in the degree,frequency,duration,diet,bitter mouth and dry throat,abdominal distension,and stool improvement than the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Modified Tongxie Yaofang has significant clinical effect in treating mesenteric lymphadenitis in children(spleen deficiency and liver swelling syndrome).2.The therapeutic effect of Modified Tongxie Yaofang on mesenteric lymphadenitis in children(spleen deficiency and liver swelling syndrome)is to improve the degree,frequency and time of abdominal pain,intake of food,abdominal distension,bitter mouth and dry throat,rather than focusing on one aspect.3.Compared with the control group(cefixime granules),Modified Tongxie Yaofang has obvious advantages in the treatment of pediatric mesenteric lymphadenitis(spleen deficiency and liver swelling syndrome)in the aspects of primary symptoms,secondary symptoms and syndrome improvement.4.The treatment of pediatric mesenteric lymphadenitis(spleen deficiency and liver swelling syndrome)with Modified Tongxie Yaofang can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of the disease.
