| OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy indexes of QingChangTang on the evidence of gastrointestinal heat accumulation in pediatric abdominal allergic purpura.METHODS: A total of 70 children with abdominal allergic purpura gastrointestinal heat accumulation evidence who attended the pediatric outpatient clinic and pediatric ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to March 2023 and met the inclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into two groups according to the randomized controlled trial study method, namely, the test group and the control group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cimetidine, prednisone tablets and other conventional western medicine, while the test group was treated with oral QingChangTang exempt granules. Both groups were treated for two weeks, and the relevant data were collected on day 0 and day 14 of treatment to analyze their efficacy and safety, and the children were followed up for 12 weeks after the observation period to observe the recurrence of purpura or abdominal pain. Results: 1.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of gender and age distribution(P>0.05).2.There was no significant difference in the overall efficacy between the test and control groups.3.In terms of the efficacy of each TCM symptom, the efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group in improving the distribution of rash and improving the symptoms of constipation or diarrhea(P<0.05),but the efficacy of the test group was inferior to that of the control group in relieving the symptoms of abdominal pain(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference between the two groups in the efficacy of the remaining TCM symptoms(P>0.05).4.The number of relapse cases in the test group was evidently less than that in the control group within 12 weeks after the end of treatment(P<0.05).5.No adverse reactions were observed in both treatment regimens. Conclusion: Both treatment regimens were effective for HSP abdominal type with gastrointestinal heat accumulation;compared with conventional western medicine treatment,QingChangTang can effectively promote rash regression, improve constipation or diarrhea symptoms, and reduce recurrence with significant efficacy;no adverse reactions occurred in both treatment regimens, and it is safe for clinical use.The treatment of gastrointestinal heat accumulation in pediatric abdominal allergic purpura with QingChangTang is worthy of promotion. |
