Objective:This study aimed to investigate the effects of somatosensory games exercise intervention on the frailty level and balance ability of pre-frail elderly in the community,to explore the application value of somatosensory games exercise in the health management of the elderly in the community, and to provide a reference for expanding the healthy exercise methods of the elderly in the community. Methods:From March 2022 to September 2022,46 elderly people in pre-frail community in Guiyang City were selected for somatosensory games intervention and semistructured interview.(1)The research group collected the general data of 466 elderly people in the community by convenience sampling and general data questionnaire, evaluated their frailty level, static balance ability, dynamic balance ability, reactive balance ability and comprehensive balance ability, and screened 323 pre-frail elderly.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,46 cases were screened out from 323 pre-frail elderly people as the research object.(2)The randomized controlled trial was carried out in 46 pre-frail elderly people.46 pre-frail elderly people were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group by random number,23 in each group. The control group was given regular health education on the basis of daily activities. In the intervention group, the exercise intervention of somatosensory games was added on the basis of the control group. The intervention was implemented for 12 weeks,3 times a week,30~40minutes each time. Before intervention and 12 weeks after intervention, the frailty phenotype(FP),Closed Cycles test(CCT),Timed Up and Go Test(TUG),response training lamp and Berg balance scale(BBS)were used to evaluate the frailty level and balance abilities of the elderly.(3)Qualitative interview were conducted in the intervention group at 11~12weeks.Interviewees the intervention group were selected by objective sampling method, and the semi-structured interview was conducted. The sample size was determined by information saturation. The interview outline mainly involved feelings of participating in the somatosensory games intervention, the reasons for persisting in participation, and the physical, psychological and social experiences.(4)In the randomized controlled trial, the logic error correction command of Epidata 3.1 was used to input the baseline data and the post-intervention data, and the data were checked by single person and double input, and the data were analyzed by SPSS25.0.Descriptive analysis was performed on enumeration data using rate and percentage.Chi-square test was used for inter-group comparison.Measurement data was expressed as mean ± standard deviation. If normal distribution was observed, paired sample t-test was used for comparison before and after intervention, and two independent sample t-test was used for inter-group comparison. If normal distribution was not observed,Wilcoxon signed rank sum test was used for comparison before and after intervention, and Mann-Whitney U rank sum test was used for inter-group comparison, with test level α=0.05.Semi-structured interview data were analyzed by Colaizzi’s 7-step analysis method to extract the themes of somatosensory games exercise intervention experience of pre-frail elderly. Results:The data of 46 objects were collected in this study, including 23 subjects in the intervention group and 23 subjects in the control group. There were 2 dropouts in the intervention group and no dropouts in the control group. The study results showed that:(1)Before intervention, there was no significant differences in the incidence of weakness, standing time with eyes closed, standing time with one foot, standing time with time, reaction time and Berg balance scale score between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)After 12 weeks of intervention, there were significant differences in the incidence of weakness, weakness score and walking speed between the two groups(P<0.05),but there were no significant differences in grip strength, physical activity and fatigue between the two groups(P>0.05).(3)After 12 weeks of intervention, there were significant differences between the two groups in the time of standing on one foot with eyes closed, the time of standing and walking test, the reaction time and the score of Berg balance scale(P<0.05).There were significant differences between the intervention group before and after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).(4)After 12 weeks of intervention, the scores of sports and games in the intervention group were significantly different(P<0.05).(5)The somatosensory games intervention experience of the elderly in the early stage of weakness is summarized into four themes:The benefits of somatosensory games exercise, the promotion factors of somatosensory games exercise, the obstacle factors of somatosensory games exercise, and the demand for long-term exercise of somatosensory games. Conclusions:The somatosensory games exercise can improve the frailty level and balance abilities of the pre-frail elderly in community, and have a positive impact on their physical and mental health. It is suggested that the somatosensory games exercise can be promoted in the community, enrich the exercise methods of the elderly, improve the health level of the elderly, improve the quality of life of the elderly and promote healthy aging.
