Efficacy Of Xiaoyingji Decoction In The Treatment Of Patients With Spleen-kidney Yang Deficiency Hashimoto Thyroiditis

Objective:Observe the changes in thyroid hormone levels,thyroid antibodies,clinical symptoms,and other changes in patients after treatment with Xiaoyingji Decoction,and objectively evaluate the curative effect and safety of Xiaoyingji Decoction on improving symptoms and improving immune function in patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis of spleen and kidney yang deficiency type.To explore the practical efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis,and objectively evaluate the application value of this program.Methods:We selected 61 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and were diagnosed with spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome.According to the principle of randomization,they were divided into a treatment group of 31 patients and a control group of 30 patients.In addition to receiving general treatments such as dietary and lifestyle guidance,low-iodine diet,appropriate exercise,and regular work and rest,the treatment group also received a Chinese herbal decoction(Xiaoyingji Decoction)for treatment,while the control group received levothyroxine sodium tablets.After one course of treatment(3months),the changes in relevant indicators(symptoms,thyroid antibody levels,and TCM clinical syndrome efficacy)were observed and statistically analyzed for both groups of patients.Results:(1)General situationComparable were the age,course of disease,laboratory indicators,and TCM symptom scores between the two groups before treatment,with no significant difference observed(P>0.05).(2)Disease curative effectTreatment group had significantly better curative effect than the control group,as indicated by a total effective rate of 83.9%(29 effective,2 ineffective)and 60%(14 effective,16 ineffective),respectively(P<0.05).(3)Efficacy of TCM syndromesCompared with the control group,the treatment group showed a better syndrome curative effect,with 24 cases effective and 7 cases ineffective,resulting in a total effective rate of 77.4%.Meanwhile,the control group had 14 cases effective and 16 cases ineffective,with a total effective rate of 46.7%.The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).(4)Chinese medicine symptoms:(1)After intra-group comparison,the treatment group significantly improved the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(P<0.05).There was a significant improvement in the frequency of urination(P<0.05),but there was no significant improvement in the loss of libido and inability to defecate(P>0.05).In the control group,there was a significant improvement in neck swelling,mental fatigue,and facial swelling(P<0.05).(2)When comparing between groups,the TCM syndrome score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The intragroup comparison of individual symptoms before and after treatment showed that the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.(5)Test indicators: Through statistical analysis,the levels of TGAb and TPOAb in the treatment group were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.001),while the levels of TGAb and TPOAb in the control group were not significantly changed(P>0.001).Compared with the thyroid hormone levels in the two groups before and after treatment,the f T3 level in the two groups did not change significantly(P>0.05),but the f T4 level increased significantly(P<0.05),and the increase in f T4 in the control group was significantly higher than that in the treatment group(P<0.05).The TSH level in the treatment group and the control group did not change significantly(P>0.05).(6)Safety indicators: There were no gastrointestinal reactions such as skin allergies and nausea and vomiting in the two groups of patients before and after treatment,and no abnormalities were found in the blood,urine and stool routine,liver and kidney functions and other safety.Conclusion:Xiaoyingji Decoction has a significant curative effect in the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with deficiency of spleen and kidney yang,and the clinical symptoms are significantly improved.No toxic or side effects occurred during the process,the curative effect is definite,the drug is safe,and it is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
