Clinical Observation On Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction Combined With Chemotherapy In Treating Of Advanced Gastric Cancer Of Ying-deficiency And Blood-stasis Syndrome

Objective Through clinical observation of the changes of TCM syndrome scores,KPS scores,QOL scores,tumor markers,safety evaluation of Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of patients with Ying-deficiency and Blood-stasis syndrome of advanced gastric cancer,to evaluate the efficacy of Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction and provide new ideas and treatment plans for clinical treatment of advanced gastric cancer.Methods Patients with advanced gastric cancer who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatmnent group and control group.The treatment group was treated with Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction combined with chemotherapy.The control group received only chemotherapy,and the course of chemotherapy was 4 cycles.The TCM syndrome scores,KPS scores,QOL scores,tumor markers and safety evaluations of the two groups were statistically analyzed to explore the advantages of the combination of Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction and chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer in the above aspects.Results(1)Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: In terms of the total scores of TCM symptoms: the total scores of TCM symptoms were both decreased after treatment in two groups,and the total score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant after statistical analysis(P<0.05).In terms of each symptom scores: after treatment,each symptom scores in both groups were decreased,and TCM symptom scores in the treatment group were significantly decreased,the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01);The emaciation symptom score in control group was significantly different after treatment(P=0.011(P<0.05)).There were significant differences in the scores of stomachache,insomnia and dreaminess,poor appetite and fatigue after treatment(P<0.01).(2)Comparison of KPS scores: The difference of KPS scores in two groups had statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.05),after treating,KPS scores in both groups were better than before,the difference had statistically significant(P<0.05).What’s more,KPS scores in treatment group were higher than those in control group,and the physical condition of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.As for effective rate:the effective rate of KPS score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group.(3)Comparison of the quality of life scores(QOL): The difference of QOL scores in two groups had highly statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.01),after treatment,QOL scores in both groups were improved,the difference had highly statistically significant(P<0.01).While,QOL scores in treatment group were obviously higher than those in control group,the quality of life was improved.(4)Tumor markers: CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 indexes in 2 groups were decreased after treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance in tumor markers between 2 groups after treatment(P>0.05).(5)Safety evaluation: After treatment,patients in the two groups had stable vital signs,no IV degree toxic and side effects,there had statistically significant differences in hemoglobin reduction,nausea,vomiting and diarrhea(P<0.05),but had no statistically significant differences in leukopenia and thrombocytopenia(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with chemotherapy alone,Modified Yangying Huoxue Decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of patients with advanced gastric cancer can effectively reduce the TCM symptom scores,improve the KPS scores and QOL scores,relieve patients’ clinical symptoms,and improve patients’ physical fitness and quality of life,reduce part of the toxic and side effects brought by chemotherapy.
