Characteristics And Performance Analysis Of Cello Solo Music In Film Soundtracks

In this paper,by studying Yo Yo-Ma’s performance in film scoring,analyzing its performance characteristics,and exploring the artistic function of cello in film scoring,this paper explores the feasibility of a better and broader development of cello in China.This article first discusses the general situation of domestic and foreign film music and Chinese film development and the current research status of topic selection.The first chapter traces the encounter and development of cello solo in the film soundtrack.It classifies the cello film soundtrack from three aspects:the cello as the narrative festival,the classical cello works as the film soundtrack and the original solo cello film soundtrack.The second chapter studies the cello elements and playing skills in the two films "Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon" and "Memoirs of a Geisha",and analyzes Yo-Yo Ma’s perfect interpretation of the movie plot from the perspectives of decorative sound,timbre,stringing,strength,and speed.The third chapter summarizes the characteristics,artistic functions and performance characteristics of cello solo in the film score.Chapter Four investigates the current situation of cello works in video and music software,and puts forward the problems and solutions of cello development in my country.This paper studies the value of film soundtracks to the development of Chinese cello,whether it is the inspiration of cello film soundtracks for the creation of Chinese musical works,the promotion of cello solo status,and the use of film music as a medium to spread the artistic charm of cello.Therefore,the author believes that the film soundtrack with cello solo as the main element meets the aesthetic and spiritual needs of the public today and should be promoted vigorously.On the one hand,the author affirms that the film soundtrack brings a halo to the development of the cello.On the other hand,I regret that the classical cello works and a group of outstanding cellists are not well known.The purpose of this article is to promote cello works with the help of film soundtracks in films so as to encourage people to enter the theater to experience more pure music,and at the same time provide feasible suggestions for the better dissemination of cello works.
