The phenomenon of adjectives with objects has already existed in ancient Chinese.In modern Chinese,adjectives with objects are no longer a "special" phenomenon,but a basic grammatical fact.This thesis will analyze 1,098 adjectives based on Chinese language facts and quantitative analysis.It is found that the differences of single and double syllable adjectives with objects is not only reflected in the number,but also in the semantic type and emotional color.From the perspective of structural form,the types of structures composed of single-syllable adjectives with objects are more than those composed of double-syllable adjectives with objects.From the perspective of the transitivity of adjectives,this paper describes the formal expressions of adjectives with object transitivity.Combined with form and semantics,adjectives with object can be divided into two types:adjectives with one object adjectives with two objects.Then this paper described the semantic types of adjectives with objects,and found that the semantic types of adjectives with objects are more diverse than those of transitive verbs with objects.Finally,in order to cover more of the phenomenon of adjectives with objects in modern Chinese,this paper take brevity as the criterion and research from the broad concept,regarding the phenomenon of adjectives with objects as a system.And then the phenomenon of adjectives with objects is classified from the perspective of completion degree. |
