This paper mainly investigates the monosyllable adjectives andtwo-syllable adjectives which contain the same morpheme informs.We mainly study on the similarities and differences overallfeatures and syntactic features, and some action because of thesedifferences and similarities in language application.Chinesevocabulary’s development trend is the double syllable wordsgradually prevail.The ancient Chinese characteristics are verydifferent. This has led to many links between one-syllable word whichare left from ancient Chinese and two-syllable word which comes onthe basis of the evolution of ancient Chinese.These connectionsrepresent as form or meaning ,for example" stupid" and" stupid","crisp" and" clear"," wet" and " dry" and so on. These word’s meaningare close, in fact there are more or less different usage. In the earlystudy of Chinese vocabulary, there are many scholars of thisphenomenon are discussed. This article is on the basis of previousresearch, studying for this special word" synonymic monosyllabicand disyllabic word morpheme adjective”.The front part focuses onthe description and analysis of monosyllabic and disyllabicadjectives in the relationship of form’s and meaning’s, and pointsout that behind this relationship there are some simple rules. Therear portion is from the adjective features as well as the adjectives in a sentence combination ability and other aspects of theallotropes of synonymic monosyllabic and disyllabic adjectives arecompared and discussed. In the ability of sentence combination, weachieve our discussion mainly through studying with the noun andverb. Based on the above two parts, the paper finally points out thesimilarities and differences on language application role. This partis mainly for dictionary compilation and teaching Chinese as aforeign language. Through investigation, the article thinks to formcorresponding relation, a single syllable adjective corresponding totwo or more disyllabic adjectives are most common, accounting forthe majority of our statistical. On the significance of thecorresponding relations, ambiguous monosyllabic wordcorresponding univocal double syllable words are the most common.In the overall characteristics, monosyllabic adjectives and" de"combinatorial constraints more than two syllables, is flexible;except " de "later , monosyllabic words flexibility than the doublesyllable is much higher. In addition to the overlapping capabilities, asingle syllable adjective overlap ability, and double syllable wordsof relatively weak. In other words or the structure collocation,syllable conjunction and lexical effects in the combination itselfplayed a large role restrictions. As a single syllable adjective in verbcollocation, tend to be monosyllabic verb and so on. Theunderstanding and research approaches to the existing dictionarycompilation and teaching Chinese as a foreign language will have acertain degree of help.
