| “Bottom strata” has been a highly concerned and controversial issue among contemporary humanities scholars since the 1990 s.Poetry,as the vanguard of literature,has also responded to it quickly.Since the beginning of the new century,the attention and writing of new poetry regarding the bottom strata has been one of the most noticeable literary trends.Many writers’ voluntary participation and writing practice constitute a distinctive and spectacular scene.In the new century,some Yunnan new poetry writing merges with the nationwide tide of “Bottom strata literature”,manifesting characteristics of shifting down perspectives,facing the “bottom strata” and writing about miseries.From the perspective of Yunnan new poetry in the new century,this paper focuses on three poets whose works contain a large number of poetry texts in bottom strata writing,attempts to introduce the related theoretical research of “Bottom strata literature” into the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry,and observes the specific poetry texts,aiming to slightly correct the current situation of excessive explanation of related research theories and lack of text analysis.The first chapter firstly reviews and discriminates the concepts related to “the bottom strata writing of new poetry”.The second chapter sorts out the situation of the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry since the new century from a macro perspective,and further analyzes how it is possible for the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry to converge into a small wave.The third chapter probes into the specific poetry texts in the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry in the new century,and explores the diversified characteristics of its connotation and orientation.First,poets write about their relatives and hometowns,revealing a kind of sympathetic and personal grief.Second,poets record and display the experience of unknown individuals,creating a social group portrait from the specific grief.Third,poets integrate the examination and thinking of the modernization process and modern life into the narrative of the bottom strata from the perspectives of the countryside and the city,as well as industry and nature.The fourth chapter begins with the possibilities and limits of the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry in the new century,and expounds its possibilities as a practice of “sociological imagination” and “humanistic imagination”,and reveals the demonstration and tension formed between the miseries and social reality.Finally,it discusses the limitations of its existence: if poetry does not depict the “bottom strata”deeply and further illuminate the obscure subjectivity of the "bottom strata” and the complex changes in the plight of the “bottom strata”,the criticism degree of the bottom strata writing of Yunnan new poetry in the new century will be weakened,thus falling into the “array of nothing”. |
