| Books are materialized thinking and solidified consciousness.The catalogue of Buddhist scriptures records the spread and development of Buddhist classics in China.It is the carrier of the thought of Buddhist semantic classification and an important material for studying the history of Buddhism and bibliography in China.Since Indian Buddhism was introduced into China,there has been a certain exchange,collision and integration with Chinese local culture.This process has different degrees of development under the background of different dynasties.The catalogue of Buddhist scriptures,which is attached to the development of Buddhism and the dissemination of Buddhist principles,also shows the characteristics of phasing.At this stage,the research on the Buddhist Scripture catalogue of the Tang Dynasty mainly focuses on three aspects: the overall bibliography research,the case study of the Buddhist Scripture catalogue and the study of the author of the Buddhist Scripture catalogue.The characteristics of the dynasty are not clear enough.This study will separate the Buddhist Scripture catalogue of the Tang Dynasty from the overall study of the history of Buddhism and bibliography,and make a more detailed and comprehensive analysis of this part in combination with relevant historical materials.In the main body,firstly,it introduces the whole process of the emergence and development of Buddhist Scripture catalogue in China before the Tang Dynasty,and briefly explains that in the early Tang Dynasty,China’s Buddhist Scripture catalogue has become a branch and has a certain development;Secondly,it analyzes the background of the development of the Buddhist Scripture catalogue in the Tang Dynasty,and describes the compilation process of the Buddhist Scripture catalogue from the three stages of the early Tang Dynasty,the middle Tang Dynasty and the late Tang Dynasty according to the influence of historical events on Buddhism and Buddhist scriptures;Thirdly,it analyzes the style and content of the existing ten Buddhist scriptures one by one,and summarizes its achievements;Finally,it summarizes the value and characteristics of the catalogue of Buddhist scriptures in the Tang Dynasty.The catalogue of Buddhist scriptures in the Tang Dynasty is not only a record of the development of Buddhism and the spread of Buddhist Scripture Translation in the Tang Dynasty,but also a faithful witness to the rise and fall of the Tang Dynasty.It has played a great role in constructing the classification system of Buddhist scriptures in China,combing Buddhist thoughts and recording Buddhist classics.Through the flexible use of a variety of anti-counterfeiting methods,it has enriched China’s anti-counterfeiting theory,distinguished between orthodox and pseudo texts,and preserved a large number of historical materials for the study of the development of Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty,the collection of Buddhist scriptures in Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty and important Buddhist documents in the Tang Dynasty,which is of great academic value. |
