| With the increasing number of flights,denser routes and frequent take-offs put forward newer and higher requirements for ATM departments.ATM professional personnel need to learn from foreign advanced civil aviation technology and experience so that the growing traffic flow can be deployed more efficiently.European Route Network Improvement Plan is a reference technical text in the ATM field in China.It mainly covers the general principle of airspace design,detailed technical specifications and application methods.This report is based on the translation practice on Chapter 1-3 of Part I in the European Route Network Improvement Plan,and analyzes the translated text based on Nord’s theory of “function plus loyalty”.Nord’s theory of “function plus loyalty” emphasizes that translation should not only be measured by the accuracy of vocabulary translation,but also measured by pursuing equivalence from the connotation,the overall content and the style of the language.The author thinks that translators should be familiar with the professional terms;when translating them,translators should distinguish the textual meanings of the words;when translating semi-technical words,translators should clarify the sentence structures;when translating sentences,translators should pay attention to the connection between the context during the whole process of the translation practice.The author analyzed translation problems of words,sentences and discourse in the text,and improved the quality of the text.The study of the practice and skills of the text translation can better promote the translation research and practice of the Chinese civil aviation science and technology text translation as well as the research,planning and construction of airspace and air route network system in China’s civil aviation industry,and contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of domestic air traffic service and management in order to build a strong civil aviation country. |
