Research On Material "Property" In Modern Painting

The selection of painting materials and the exploitation and application of non-painting materials establish art forms in different fields and enrich the artistic language of materials.Nowadays,the cross-disciplinary use of materials enhances the creator’s sensitivity to everything around him.Under the theoretical support,the concept of materials continues to extend;In terms of selection,the material properties are more freely regarded as the material basis of artistic works,which is connected with the subjective consciousness of creators,so as to present the material properties and spirit;In creation,the artist uses the "physical nature" of materials to integrate with artistic expression,and combines the current environment to expand materials and painting forms.The main content of this study is to study the characteristics and expression of material’s "physical property" in modern painting.And the main content of the article is divided into three parts: first,the overview of material "property";second,the application of material "property" in creation is demonstrated with artistic works;third,the concept is extended to the work and analyzed with the author’s practice.
