In contemporary literary circles,Bi Feiyu is famous for his brilliant characterization.Looking at several representative works that have brought him a good reputation,it is not difficult to find that whether it is the most eye-catching female image, the male image that is not inferior,or the blind image with unique ingenuity … these main characters can be summarized into the same role, that is,self-remodeler.The so-called self-remodeler refers to the characters who actively or passively change their living posture when their living environment changes.By studying their motivation for transformation, these self-remodelers can be divided into three categories: people who adapt to the times, people who are attached to power and people with broken dreams. No matter what the motivation is,they all show the following common characteristics in the process of transformation: desire deviation, tough tenacity, alternating struggle and ups and downs. In order to convey this kind of characters to readers to the maximum extent,Bi Feiyu adopted diversified description techniques from outside to inside and inserted many ingenious designs. It is worth noting that Bi Feiyu spent a lot of ink into the image of self-remodelers,in order to convey more grand and deep thinking through the transformation of characters: First, reflect on the alienation from the country to the people and even the characters themselves;Second, the contemporary people facing similar difficulties can be inspired by the struggling process of the remodelers: Only by maintaining a sound humanity can the ideal living state be realized. All these intentions reflect Bi Feiyu’s strong humanitarian feelings and realistic participation spirit.
