Recent years has witnessed an increasing development of China’s economy and society. The state and government departments have strengthened the protection of the tourism and cultural resources in the Yellow River. Therefore, protecting the Yellow River Resources and spreading the Yellow River culture has become an important task of the times. The selected text in this translation practice report is excerpted from the book BRI and Yellow River Tourism. The book focuses on the tourism of the Yellow River, and under the background of “the Belt and Road Initiative”,it conducts analysis with diverse ways on the tourism development of the Yellow River Economic Belt. The translation practice report takes two chapters of BRI and Yellow River Tourism as the translation text, elaborates the English translation process of the Yellow River culture under the guidance of medio-translatology,and explores the translation methods and techniques of the Yellow River culture.Taking “creative treason” as the translation principle, the author focuses on domestication and foreignization strategies, and uses a series of translation techniques such as adaption, compilation, annotated transliteration, and literal translation with annotation. While accurately conveying the cultural information of the source language,we should keep the sentences as smooth and fluent as possible, eliminate cultural barriers for readers, and enhance the professionalism and readability of the translation.Due to the existence of “creative treason”,cultural translation cannot be completely close to foreign cultures, which also reflects the translator’s subjectivity and creativity in the translation process. Therefore, the research of this paper reveals to a certain extent that the “creative treason” in medio-translatology has feasibility and guiding significance for the translation of traditional culture.
