Research On The Creation Of Ode To The Red Cliff By Wen Zhengming Xiaokai

As an important figure in the history of calligraphy in the Ming Dynasty,Wen Zhengming(1470-1559)is known as the "four great calligraphers of Wumen" together with Zhu Yunming,Chen Chun and Wang Chong.He is one of the leaders of the "Wumen Calligraphy School",with diligence in his life,tireless writing and ink,and good in calligraphy.Wen Zhengming has a special preference for the classic text of Su Shi’s Ode to the Red Cliff.He has created calligraphy and painting with the theme of Ode to the Red Cliff many times in his life.There are about 25 small regular script works in the related creation of Ode to the Red Cliff that have been handed down to this day.Wen Zhengming’s Ode to the Red Cliff has a large number of creations,high quality and excellent content.With the help of literature research method and analysis and comparative method,this article studies the reason of creation,the creation,collection and recording of Wen Zhengming Xiaokai’s Ode to the Red Cliff,as well as the inheritance of contemporary calligraphy practice.First of all,the writing,staging and creative characteristics of Wen Zhengming’s creation of Ode to the Red Cliff are discussed.Secondly,we will discuss the reasons why Wen Zhengming has written Ode to the Red Cliff in small regular script many times.Then sort out the literature and the collection and circulation of the Chinese regular script Ode to the Red Cliff in major museums,and briefly sort out the circulation of the "Red Cliff Fu" in the collection of the Palace Museum.Finally,the unique charm of Wen zhengming Xiaokai in the contemporary calligraphy world is discussed from the perspective of calligraphy practice.Wen Zhengming had a deep influence in Wuzhong in the Ming Dynasty.The creation of Xiaokai’s Ode to the Red Cliff has rich emotional colours in both literary content and calligraphy technique expression.Taking Wen Zhengming Xiaokai’s Ode to the Red Cliff as the research object is not only of great significance to the study of the status of literary works in calligraphy creation,but also We can better grasp the connotation of Wen Zhengming’s works.
