Culture is closely connected with language.It is obvious that cultural teaching plays a vital role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In order to effectively integrate language teaching and cultural teaching,the thesis applies the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture to combine language and culture,and develop a comprehensive cultural course teaching design based on the analysis of the teaching environment.Combing specific classroom teaching design,summary feedback on classroom implementation effects,the paper puts forward practical teaching suggestions to explore a new effective teaching design.Firstly,the research status of the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture is summarized and its advantage are concluded.first,in accordance with the relation between language and culture,the teaching method believes that language refers to culture and learning language is to practice cultural behavior.Hence,under the guidance of this teaching method,the classroom is centered on performances to highlight the communicative function of language.Secondly,the performance model in the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture asks students to rehearse the script in accordance with the five elements.The performance requires students to assign roles,repeatedly practice lines and rehearsals.A series of preparations require students to cooperate,which enhances their sense of cooperation and stimulates their innovative thinking as well.Thirdly,the performance mode in the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture,especially group collaboration,not only improves students’ initiative and enthusiasm in learning Chinese,but also creates a good atmosphere for Chinese learning.What’s more,on the basis of classroom observations and questionnaire surveys,we found that in the teaching process,the existing teaching model in Thailand is close to 5P teaching,with unsatisfactory teaching effect,low activity in class,and unsatisfied students’ demand for Chinese cultural knowledge,which certainly damage the initiative and enthusiasm of Chinese learning.Meanwhile,the school also hopes that teachers will focus on improving students’ oral communication skills and enhance their interest,understanding and memory in Chinese learning by creating a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere.As mentioned above,on the basis of following the teaching philosophy,five elements and teaching methods of the performance culture teaching method,we carried out a four-class teaching design with "I Have a Yellow Jacket" as an example.In terms of design,we broke the limitation of mere language point explanation in class,and advocated the explanation of color culture in the way of practice.At the same time,the applicability of the script and the appropriateness of the performance culture are emphasized in the performance;the interpretation of the language points in the class,the text performance,the cultural performance and the practice class of the extracurricular performance are taken into account in the performance form.In addition,in view of the shortcomings of the initial teaching design,we will improve the teaching design again and test the timeliness of the physical performance culture teaching method in order to further improve the teaching mode of the Chinese as a foreign language class.Finally,in accordance with teaching design,a comprehensive Chinese ability test is conducted to verify the teaching effect of the physical performance culture teaching method.It has proved that the performance culture teaching method can meet the students’ learning needs for Chinese learning.Students’ interest in learning Chinese get stimulated to a large extent.In addition,it cultivates students’ sense of cooperation and the ability to explore knowledge.But when using this teaching method for the first time,there are a few things to be noted,such as explanation of the teaching method,students’ feedback in class,classroom management,and practicality of the performance content and so on.
