An Analysis Of The Skills And Experience Related To The Performance Of The Erhu Version Of ’Luan Tan Qin Sheng’,by Wang Danhong

‘Luan Tan Qin Sheng’ is a concerto composed for Banhu,first performed in public by Banhu artist Jiang Kemei,Later,an Erhu version was developed and first performed by Deng Jiandong in2018.Deep analysis and understanding of the composition are required in order to perform a piece well,apart from profound skills and techniques.A rational analysis of the composition lays the foundation for a emotional performance.But how do we integrate our emotion well with the music when facing a new composition? I will composite my thesis by looking through past literatures,listening and comparing different versions of performances.Also,I will integrate my personal performance experience in order to analyze the skills and techniques required for the Erhu version of ’Luan Tan Qin Sheng’.
