We call the impression left when first time meeting between one person and the other person and contacting between the people and the things the first impression, which influences more strongly than the later ones in the individual’s social cognitive processes, it’s a phenomenon known as the first effect. The first effect is also called the precedence effect or first impression effect. It can be summed up that in the order of information presentation, first presented information has more weight than later presented information in the impression formation course.It is because of the existence of preconceptions in people’s cognitive processes that the first information received will have a greater impact on the product cognitive process, the accepting order of the information will also affect users’impression of experience about product, and thus affect the overall user experience, so we should pay attention to the user’s first impression by the product. However, from everyday experience, the first impression is not necessarily consistent with the real situation, or even contrary to the true situation, and causes the cognitive misunderstanding, but regardless of whether the first impression represents the real situation, the importance of the cognitive process can’t be denied.Products require a good first impression to the user, more give a continuing good impression, based on such a demand, the subject introduces another practical significance concept:the initial impression. The initial impression is that the products form the impression from the user’s first impression to the relatively stable impression, the impression of the whole process. It includes the first impression whose time span is broader, initial impressions of the users form the stable impression of the products, which has more practical significance to research the user experience of the products.The main contents of this subject are the factors affecting the initial impression of product experience, the specific method is to pre-card the theory information,then make a further understanding of the formation process of the product initial impression, summarizing and combining with the actual description of cases, explore the possible factors that may affect the initial impression of the product experience by analyzing user, product and environment dimensions, try to sum up the systematic theoretical results of the impacts on product’s initial experiencing impression factors, and in the future pay attention to the related factors during the design process consciously also use the theory in the designs to enhance the user’s initial impression of the product experience so as to attract more people to be interested in these products, lay a good start for product de velopment.
