The Construction Research On "Neng X Jiu X"

The construction ‘Neng X Jiu X’ is a language structure with high frequency of use and complex components,its research is rare in the academic circle.This article defines the structure based on the relevant theory of constructive grammar.On the basis of describing the explanatory corpus pair,the semantics of the construct are summarized,and the nature of the constructs of the constructs and the distribution of the syntactic functions of the constructs are fully discussed.This paper fully discusses the components and syntactic function distribution of each part of the structure,and studies the evolution,motivation and mechanism of the structure through the combination of synchronic and diachronic.This paper is divided into six chapters to expand ‘ Neng X Jiu X ’.The main research results are as follows :The relevant theories of construction grammar are used to define ‘ Neng X Jiu X ’ and identify it as a marked construction,in which the constant ‘ Neng ’ and ‘ Jiu ’ as marked items have prompt and explanatory functions.After analyzing the corpus,the core meaning of‘ Neng X Jiu X ’ in the construction is extracted : the speaker emphasizes that when the conditions for the implementation of a certain behavior or the achievement of a certain goal are met,the behavior or the achievement of a goal should be completed as much as possible according to the assumptions,highlighting the speaker ’ s subjective positive attitude towards making a preset behavior,in which ‘ Jin Ke Neng / Jin Liang / Jin Li ’ is the construction semantics outside the internal component semantics.According to the differences in objective facts and subjective intentions,type A constructional meaning and type B constructional meaning can be distinguished on the basis of core semantics.When the construction ‘Neng X Jiu X ’ used together,it not only has the sum of various semantics when it is used alone,but also reflects obvious semantic increment.The amount of information expands and the information energy increases.On the basis of the research on the semantics of the construction,the semantic features are further summarized,and the conditionality,subjective willingness and basis of the construction are obtained.In each part of the construction,‘ Neng ’ and ‘ Jiu ’ are constants,and ‘ Neng ’ reflects that the speaker adds his own subjective evaluation when describing the objective facts,which includes the prediction of the next events.As an associated adverb,’ Jiu ’ connects pre-and post-variables to express the speaker ’ s strong subjective will and emphasizes the postconstruction.According to the classification statistics of the syllable length and component properties,it is found that the syllable length of the variable in the construction is mostly less than three when the variable is completely conformal.Most of the ‘ X ’ can enter the construction as predicates,and a small number of body parts of speech enter the construction after flexible use.When there is a change in the front and back items of the construction,the latter is often based on economic principles or highlighted by deleting and adding parts of the former.Even if the front and rear items are completely different,they remain semantically consistent.After analyzing the relationship between the whole construction and the components,it is found that the meanings of the constant terms ‘Neng ’ and ‘ Jiu ’ are fixed and cannot be omitted.The whole construction and the variable term are semantically suppressed,and only the components that are semantically and semantically fused are allowed to enter the construction as the variable term.If there is semantic contradiction,it is forced to change to meet the conditions for entering the construction.In terms of syntactic function,‘ Neng X Jiu X ’ is more complex when it acts as a syntactic component,which can be used as predicate,object,attribute and subject.Especially in the sentence as a predicate is the most common,the construction of the subject description.In addition,this construction can also be used as a clause in a complex sentence,and it can be used in causal,parallel and transitional complex sentences,and there are different subcategories under each category.After studying the semantics,syntax and function of ‘ Neng X Jiu X ’ at the synchronic level,we analyze the evolution from a diachronic perspective.Generally speaking,the evolution of the construction has gone through two stages : formation stage and development stage.It has gradually completed the transition from loose structure to tight structure and then to construction,and has a further development trend to the idiom construction ’ Neng XX ’.We believe that constructions are formed under the joint action of iconicity principle,economic principle and lexical chunks.Behind the evolution of constructions,there is also the generation mechanism of conceptual integration,reanalysis and analogy.
