Curriculum ideology and politics is a kind of comprehensive education with the basic goal of "establishing morality and cultivating people".The guiding ideology of the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 edition)also clearly requires adhering to the principle of "putting morality first" and "putting morality first".It is an effective means and method to carry out the Chinese educational policy,to carry out the basic task of cultivating people with virtue,and to adhere to the basic principle of education.From ideological and political courses to curriculum based on ideology and politics,it is not only the change of word order,but also the reform and innovation of curriculum and teaching idea.In order to clearly understand and accurately judge the current situation and existing problems of English teaching in the implementation of "curriculum ideology and politics",and to explore whether the curriculum ideology and politics is effectively implemented in the actual education and teaching process,this study takes the "An Experimental Study on Curriculum Ideology and Politics of English Teaching in Senior High School Based on Production-Oriented Approach-A case of a Senior High School in Hanzhong" as the topic,selects two parallel classes of senior high school students and all English teachers of senior one in Hanzhong City as the sample of the survey,adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,combined with interviews and questionnaires and other tools,to investigate and study the current situation of senior high school English teaching and senior high school English curriculum ideology and politics teaching by analyzing teaching design,content,strategies and teachers’ beliefs.This study attempts to combine English teaching with curriculum thinking and politics,and to advocate teachers to explore new teaching models according to the requirements of the state and the actual situation of schools.The focus is on the following two research questions:1)What is the current state and influence factors of English teaching based on curriculum ideology and politics?2)How to improve the ideological and political situation of high school English and to design ideological and political teaching of high school English courses based on POA?Based on the production-oriented approach,this study carries out three experimental study on English teaching based on ideological and political education,designs three teaching plans according to reading class,listening class,reading and writing class,and melted the moral connotation and the thought politics elements into English teaching.The study found that students’ ideological and political accomplishment,interest in learning,classroom effectiveness,discipline quality and comprehensive language ability could enhanced by innovating teaching models and methods,updating educational concepts,and exploring ideological and political elements.It demonstrates that the production-oriented approach can effectively integrate and balance the instrumental and humanistic nature of language teaching.It also shows that the curriculum ideology and politics could enable students to internalize the educational value of the curriculum while developing language skills and acquiring knowledge.It is advantageous to our country strengthen responsibility education in moral subjects in high school and realizes the educational goal of fostering moral education and cultivating people.
