| Curriculum ideology and politics refers to a comprehensive educational concept of building a whole-person,whole-process and whole-course education pattern in which all kinds of courses and ideological and political theory courses go in the same direction and form a synergistic effect,with “establishing moral education” as the fundamental task of education.The English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(revised in 2020,2017 edition)points out that the general goal of English curriculum in ordinary senior high schools is to fully implement the Party’s educational policy,cultivate the socialist core values,implementation the fundamental task of establishing moral education,further promote the development of students’ key competencies of English subject on the basis of compulsory education and finally cultivate socialist builders and successors with Chinese feelings,international vision and cross-cultural communication skills.Therefore,the implementation of Curriculum ideology and politics in senior high school English classroom teaching combining knowledge learning,ability development and ideological and political education is an important way to realize the establishment of moral education.This thesis explores the following three main questions:(1)What is the current status of Curriculum ideology and politics implementation in high school English classrooms?(2)How to implement Curriculum ideology and politics in the high school English classroom?(3)How effective is the teaching of English integrated into Curriculum Ideology and Politics? To answer the above questions,the author used questionnaires and interviews methods to understand the current implementation status of Curriculum ideology and politics in high school English classrooms,and then implemented concrete classroom teaching cases of Curriculum ideology and politics,and conducted a semester of teaching practice in experimental classes.The results were collected through questionnaire scale and data analysis was conducted using SPSS 26.0to test the effectiveness of the English course ideological and political teaching.The findings suggest that:(1)The current situation of implementing Curriculum ideology and politics in high school English classrooms is not satisfactory,and most teachers lack the concept of ideological and political education in high school English teaching.(2)It is necessary to create a situation based on the excavation ideological and political elements and actively guide students to make value judgments in order to internalize and absorb.(3)Teaching practice shows that English teaching integrated with curriculum ideological and politics has a certain effect on improving students’ outlook on life and values and the feelings of home and country,which is conducive to the formation of the correct values of students and the effective enhancement of home and country feelings.Combined with the results of the study,the suggestions for implementing Curriculum ideology and politics in high school English classrooms are proposed: First,teachers continuously improve their level of Curriculum ideology and politics teaching.Second,to explore the ideological and political elements based on the teaching materials.Third,clarify the role of teachers.Fourth,reasonable use of modern teaching technology. |
