The Application Of Traditional Chinese Architecture In Mythological Animated Films

The 1950s and 1960s were the peak of the development of Chinese animation.At that time,Chinese animation applied Chinese traditional culture incisively and vividly,and was known as the "Chinese school" in the world.However,with the rapid rise of European,American and Japanese animation,Chinese animation began to blindly follow the trend.Fortunately,Chinese animation works have gradually mastered skills,picked up national culture again,and understood the necessity of telling Chinese stories in Chinese images.Chinese traditional architecture is one of the important representatives of Chinese image and the witness of history.It has unique artistic value and endows animation with deep connotation.Chinese mythology is the typical representative of Chinese stories,with rich Oriental cultural colors and full of Chinese people’s yearning for a better life.The application of the two makes the development of Chinese animation industry form a new trend and bright spot.This paper first discusses the characteristics of Chinese traditional architecture and the cultural connotation of "people" in Chinese traditional architecture;Secondly,the definition,function and classification of the scene design of mythological animated films are analyzed.After that,I took several examples to study the application of Traditional Chinese architecture in 2d and 3D animated film scenes,thus guiding my design and making further specific design ideas for my graduation design works.In the study of the application of Traditional Chinese architecture,starting from the historical background and regional cultural background of the story,the application method of traditional Chinese architectural forms in the design of animation scenes is studied.Then,according to the different scene styles of each film type,extract the relevant traditional architectural elements,analyze how they are applied to the animation scenes,and study the reprocessing methods of its artistic means,hoping to provide some enlightenment to the domestic animation art.Chinese mythology enriches the theme of animation works,and animation works spread the foundation of Chinese mythology stories;Chinese architecture has assumed the basis for Chinese animation to go to the world and stand on the world.Animation works show the beauty of Chinese architecture to the world.In short,let the world listen to the complexity of Chinese stories and appreciate the beauty of Chinese architecture.
