On The Singing Style Of Folk Songs In Northern Shaanxi In National Vocal Music

Northern Shaanxi folk songs are an important component of the local folk music culture in Shaanxi province,with distinct regional features and rich cultural connotations.Among the numerous folk songs in China,Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs have gradually formed unique folk genres with special geographic and cultural influences.The themes of Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs cover a wide range of subjects,and techniques such as repetition and metaphor are often used in the lyrics.The melody is lively and bright,reflecting the straightforward and heroic character of the people in Nortnern Shaanxi.In recent years,the continuous dissemination and development of Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs have attracted more and more attention to the artistic charm of Nortnern Shaanxi.The lyrics of these songs involve various aspects such as production,life,love,and war,reflecting the thoughts,emotions,and life experiences of the people in Nortnern Shaanxi,as well as their concern and reflection on their hometown,relatives,beliefs,and social changes."Xintiangu" is a well-known folk song form in Northwest China,with its free rhythm,broad range,and flowing melody vividly reflecting the living environment of the local people in that era.Therefore,most of the works in Xintiangu have large jumps,broad ranges,and melodious rhythms."Lan Hua Hua" and "San Shi Li Pu" are typical representatives of Northern Shaanxi folk song Xintiangu,with their high-pitched and melodious melodies and lyrics full of local Shaanbei flavor,expressing the unremitting pursuit of happiness and love by Nortnern Shaanxi women,and having high research value.This study starts with the background of the generation of Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs and analyzes the origin and dissemination of Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs from the two aspects of humanistic environment and revolutionary situation.Then,taking "Lan Hua Hua" and "San Shi Li Pu" as the research objects,this study analyzes the form and artistic characteristics of the songs using the research method of music morphology,and summarizes and describes the singing style of these excellent works from the perspectives of diction,breath,emotion,and modulation.Finally,based on the author’s practical experience in singing Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs,this study presents the author’s views on the singing process of Nortnern Shaanxi folk songs.
