The Singing Practice And Study On The Classic Aria Of The Heroine In The Opera Orchid Flower

The opera "Orchid Flower" was premiered at the Opera Hall of the National Centre for Performing Arts on October 1st,2017.The performance was extremely successful and received near-unanimous backing from the experts and the literary and art circles.The opera was composed by composer QianYi Zhang,edited and created by screenwriter DaMing Zhao and directed by XinYi Chen.It was based on the folk story "Orchid Flower" which was widely circulated in the northern ShanXi province.The opera absorbed the melody from the folk song "Orchid Flower",combined Chinese folk music elements,western opera music structure and composition techniques into the opera,and finally composed a touching and sad song of the Loess Plateau.This article selects three of the main aria of the heroine in the opera "Orchid Flower" as the singing research materials,combines the scenario and background of the opera,and reveals the miserable life of the heroine Orchid Flower in the twisted feudal system of old China.Additionally,with the analysis of the music characteristics of the three aria and characters of the opera,the article tries to put forward the singing target of the songs.Technical exploration and practical analysis are performed on the technical issues such as breathing skills,articulation and enunciation,image of characters creating and emotional expression in the singing practice at the same time.The author expects to perform the three main aria more vividly and accurately,realize the emotional expression and artistic image-building of the heroine Orchid Flower.Finally,hopes this article could promote the dissemination of original Chinese operas and give assistance for the singing practice and researches of the opera "Orchid Flower" by vocal lovers in the future.
