A Study On Deng Zhimo’s Remarks And Reviews Of Popular Fictions

Deng Zhimo is a popular writer in late Ming Dynasty,who created many novels and left a large number of comments in these works.As far as the style of his novel comments is concerned,there are preface and postscript in front of the text,there are comments,some and general comments,its comments are very rich in form and content.As far as authors are concerned,there are both self-evaluation and other-evaluation phenomena.The study of Deng Zhimo’s novel criticism is of great significance for us to understand Deng Zhimo’s literary thought and Ming Dynasty novel criticism.The research in this paper is mainly carried out from the following five aspects.The first chapter discusses the main factors of Deng Zhimo’s novel criticism.Deng Zhimo lived in an important stage of the prosperity and development of the secular literature,and the criticism also rose in this period.Deng Zhimo’s early experience in writing genre books accumulated rich material for his novels,and also influenced the content and form of his novel comments.The second chapter introduces the basic situation of Deng Zhimo’s novels.There are a large number of comments on Deng Zhimo’s novels in various forms,including preamble,subcriticism,preface and general comments.The author’s comments are divided into self-comments and other comments.The analysis of the content of these comments is helpful for readers to understand the general situation of his comments.The third chapter analyzes the ideological connotation of Deng Zhimo’s novels.The content of comments in Deng Zhimo’s novels reflects the theme of "fashion" and "fashion interest".The moral comments in the novels have the color of Confucian orthodox thought and folk ethics,and the content of comments also implies the simple novel creation consciousness of the reviewer.The fourth chapter takes Love Letter of Rich Charm as an example to make a case study of Deng Zhimo’s comments on his novels.The comments in Fengyun Love Letter are rich in content and numerous in quantity.The comments on the eyebrows apply the method of "empathizing into poetry",and the general comments reflect the moral concepts based on the orthodox thoughts of Confucianism.There are also interactive phenomena between the eyebrows and the general comments,focusing on the effect expression of "emotion" and "interest".The fifth chapter mainly discusses the value and status of Deng Zhimo’s novels.The comments on Deng Zhimo’s novels reflect the aesthetic taste of popular literature writers and the attributes of commercial communication,which has text value,communication value and ideological value.Of course,Deng Zhimo’s comments also reflect the limitations of popular novels.
