The Chinese culture has a long history,and the continuous development over5000 years is an essential feature of Chinese civilization.Excellent traditional culture is the accumulation of the social history of the Chinese nation and the integration of the evolution of Chinese culture.In the context of the era of reviving and promoting excellent traditional culture,the author selects traditional ancient architecture as the main object of creative research,selects elements such as palaces,bricks and tiles,and cornices that represent traditional Chinese architectural art to be painted,and based on retaining the content of traditional architecture,transforms and exaggerates them,making the lines of the screen present a wide variety of twists and turns while displaying the beauty of traditional architectural changes,It also keeps the content of the screen exciting and decorative.Throughout the history of Chinese engraving,copperplate etching belongs to the western type that was introduced into China in the later period.The early creation of copperplate etching in China was influenced by Western painting in both content and form.After a hundred years of development,the art of engraving in China has become increasingly mature.The thinking on engraving creation has also shifted from the past study of techniques to the pursuit and transcendence of the local cultural spirit.Therefore,the author selects traditional ancient buildings as the creative content in his creation and applies traditional Chinese painting techniques to his engraving creation,intending to explore copperplate etching with Chinese cultural temperament.
