Hulunbuir grassland is located in the northeast of Inner Mongolia. As the largest and most beautiful grassland in China,it has given birth to a splendid grassland art with a variety of masterpieces. The extraordinary composer Wang Xiaohong, nourished by this time-honored land, has composed a large number of admired and classic musical works over 40 years. The songs she composed are diversified in styles and genres, most of which embody the features of Mongolian folk songs in Baerhu and of three ethnic groups,Evenki,Oroqen and Daur in Hulunbuir. All of these works of a high artistic standard. The Sunny Grassland and Spring in Daur, entirely different in style, are selected as the research objectives after searching for the audio and video recordings of Wang Xiaohong and making a personal interview with her.Based on the culture of Hulunbuir music, the lyricists and music features of the two works are interpreted on three aspects:control of breath and song lyrics and expression of feelings, which plays as the solid theoretical foundation for the performance.
