The Grand Canal of China is a linear and dynamic cultural heritage,with a history of thousands of years.In recent years,the Chinese government has increasingly emphasized the significance of cultural dissemination of the canal culture.In this context,canal-themed museums have emerged as important places for cultural communication and symbolic construction.China Grand Canal Museum,as a thematic museum that comprehensively showcases the cultural heritage value of the Grand Canal of China across the entire waterway,all historical periods,and all aspects,has laid the foundation for the inheritance and development of canal culture.In the new context,the China Grand Canal Museum aims to stand out in the fierce competition by being audience-oriented,fully exploring cultural connotations,innovating cultural communication methods,and leading the new trend of canal culture inheritance and development.This paper takes China Grand Canal Museum as a sample research object and uses a questionnaire survey and field research method to analyze its cultural dissemination forms,content,and effects,and explore its cultural dissemination models and strategies.The paper is divided into six parts.Chapter One is the introduction,which explains the research background,research status,research objectives,research methods,and the innovative and significant role of using China Grand Canal Museum as a research object for theme museum cultural dissemination.Chapter Two reviews the concepts of theme museums and cultural dissemination and analyzes the current status and methods of cultural dissemination in theme museums.Theme museums have achieved refined dissemination of content and intelligent dissemination forms by constructing diverse dissemination subjects and multi-dimensional dissemination channels,and they are continually developing while defining their own dissemination positioning.Chapter Three introduces the basic attributes of China Grand Canal Museum,explores its functional positioning in Grand Canal cultural heritage protection and inheritance,Grand Canal cultural park construction and development,and Grand Canal cultural external dissemination and exchanges,as well as its role positioning in Grand Canal cultural value dissemination,diverse cultural symbol construction,and national cultural confidence shaping.Chapter Four focuses on the cultural dissemination strategies of China Grand Canal Museum.It conducts in-depth analysis from three aspects: constructing a civilian dissemination perspective to integrate canal culture into people’s lives;innovating intelligent technological dissemination methods to improve the dissemination effect of canal culture;and integrating all-media dissemination channels to form an all-round dissemination pattern.Chapter Five is a study on the cultural dissemination effects of China Grand Canal Museum on its audience.Through a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews,it conducts empirical analysis to explore the cultural dissemination effects and influencing factors of China Grand Canal Museum.Chapter Six conducts specific analysis based on the questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews results from the previous chapter.It first identifies the problems of weak interaction between exhibits and audiences,lack of linkage among dissemination channels,and lack of novelty in cultural and creative products in the cultural dissemination process of China Grand Canal Museum.Then,it summarizes the cultural dissemination strategies of existing theme museums through research and proposes several suggestions that can help China Grand Canal Museum’s cultural dissemination,such as focusing on audience needs and Develop differentiated communication paths;deepening platform cooperation and broadening dissemination channels;innovating cultural and creative products to create brand IP.
