Under the background of the accelerated transformation and upgrading of the film industry, the opening and ending animation of films has become a common dynamic image art.The purpose is to enhance the appreciation value of films and deepen the communication efficiency of all kinds of films. In this environment,as a part of the film packaging, the film should be more attention and research. The use of multiple modal discourse to analyze the film ending animation involves the analysis and research of the visual, auditory, textual and other modal discourse of the film ending animation. For example, visual modal discourse can analyze the color, composition, rhythm, image and other factors of the film’s ending animation.Auditory modal discourse can analyze the sound effect, music and other factors of the film ending animation.Through multi-modal discourse analysis of the post-credits animation,we can deeply explore the expression intention behind the post-credits animation as well as its artistic, cultural and other unique charm.Multimodal discourse refers to the coexistence of language and other symbolic resources to construct meaning together, which integrates linguistics, pedagogy, semiotics, communication, art and other disciplines. This paper will focus on three questions: First, which modes are included in the post-film animation? Second, how do the modes of animation at the end of the film cooperate with each other to construct meaning? Third, how does multimodal discourse contribute to artistic presentation? The research will take semiotics and systemic functional linguistics as the theoretical construction entry point, combine the characteristics of film packaging art design, and re-examine the creative ideas and design methods of film end-of-film animation from an interdisciplinary perspective, and provide paths and thoughts for the design of end-of-film animation under the current environment of film market contraction and optimization.
