Early Chinese Film Songs From A Feminist Perspective(1926-1937)

Since modern times,the women’s liberation movement has flourished,due to the spread of external Western feminist thought,the world feminist struggle and the Marxist view of women,as well as the development of China’s internal ideological enlightenment movement and capitalist economy,traditional Chinese women bound by tradition have gradually awakened and began to fight for rights such as political participation,economic independence,equality in education,social equality and freedom of marriage and love.In the twenties and thirties of the twentieth century,the rapid rise of the Shanghai film industry,the emergence of a large number of excellent domestic films and filmmakers,the emergence of a large number of widely sung film songs,this period of film songs not only improved the overall artistic level of the film at that time,but also left a feminist imprint.This article examines and examines film songs from 1926 to 1937,trying to analyze the influence and different styles of film songs in the process of the continuous development of feminism.This paper takes feminism as the perspective,combines film narrative,feminist theory and film song analysis,and the research objects include film plot,the era background of film songwriting,composer,tune,lyrics analysis,etc.The first chapter discusses women’s first voices in film songs from the perspective of feminism and Mandarin duck butterfly films,which is a foreshadowing for the in-depth discussion of film songs below.Chapter 2 analyzes the modern transformation of showgirls from feminism under the influence of Hollywood culture and film songs.Chapter 3 deals with feminism under the influence of left-wing movements and the expression of women’s consciousness in left-wing film songs.Chapter 4 analyzes subversive female consciousness and the characteristics of songs from "soft film" songs under the influence of "New Sensations".Feminism at different times bears the unique imprint of the times,and the women’s liberation movement is a process of gradual modernization of women.Film songs serve the film while verifying the influence of feminism on film songs.Early Chinese film songs have become a historical and cultural resource due to their internal independent artistic value,and analyzing film songs from the perspective of feminism in different periods is helpful to use them as a new artistic element to play a role in future historical inheritance.
