| The Dunhuang Grottoes were excavated in the second year of the Jianyuan era(366)in the Pre Qin Dynasty.Their grotto statues and murals are magnificent and magnificent in art.Through the Pre Qin,Northern Liang,Western Wei,Northern Zhou,Sui,Tang,Five Dynasties,Song,Western Xia,Yuan,Qing and other dynasties,a total of 491 caves and more than 2400 statues have been preserved.The mural art designed and painted in each dynasty shows different style characteristics,reflecting the historical changes and regional folk customs of China over 1500 years.The Dunhuang Grottoes statues and mural art combine the art of the Central Plains with the art of the Western Regions.It is not only a glorious chapter in the history of the development of ancient Chinese art,but also a valuable historical document for the study of ancient Chinese history,and is an artistic treasure of the Chinese nation.Fiber art originated from the ancient Western tapestry art,and its concept originated from the West in the first half of the 20 th century.In its development process,it also integrated excellent traditional textile handicrafts from various countries and regions around the world,absorbed the latest achievements of modern art concepts and modern textile technology,and is an ancient and young art form.It is also an artistic form that integrates practical functions and aesthetic values.The rich Dunhuang murals provide inexhaustible nutrients for the design and creation of various art forms.This article uses Dunhuang statues and mural related themes and elements as the material for wool fiber art design and creation.First of all,the author conducted a literature search to sort out and study Dunhuang art,especially historical statues and murals.Through field investigation and research,she collected first-hand image data,and finally drew on the Tang Dynasty Dunhuang statue as a design element.Firstly,it analyzes the painting styles,modeling features,clothing changes,and cultural connotations in different stages of the Tang Dynasty,and then determines the most representative cave57 in the early Tang Dynasty,the "Beauty Bodhisattva",as the main character.The background of the screen includes not only the depiction of the elements of the Thousand Buddhas in Dunhuang murals,but also the shaping of small and medium-sized Buddhist niches in Dunhuang grottoes.Moreover,it integrates installation art,relief art,and tapestry art into one furnace,combins planar,two-dimensional,and three-dimensional performance techniques.The full text is divided into five chapters,from theoretical analysis to practical application.The first chapter starts with the background and significance of the topic,focusing on analyzing the current research status and innovation points of this paper’s research direction at home and abroad.The second chapter divides the historical period of excavation of Dunhuang Grottoes by stages,with the development time of Dunhuang Grottoes in the four historical stages of the Sixteen Kingdoms,Yuan Wei,Northern Zhou,and Sui Dynasty as the main line.The main research object is the statue elements in Dunhuang murals,analyzing the shapes,colors,styles,and techniques of characters in each period of murals,laying the foundation for the analysis of the characteristics of Dunhuang statue elements in the Tang Dynasty.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the artistic characteristics of the Tang Dynasty’s four stages of statue elements.From the perspectives of body structure,body posture,crown headwear,clothing,and necklaces,the types of Tang Dynasty statue elements included in murals are sorted out,and the functions and painting patterns of different statues are summarized.Chapter 4 selects wool fiber art as the main artistic form of my graduation creation from numerous design strategies,analyzes the advantages of wool fiber in design strategies,and records the conceptual thinking and creative process of my graduation design work.The fifth chapter serves as a summary chapter to analyze the practical significance of the application of Dunhuang mural statue elements in fiber art.In summary,this thesis uses the author’s own design and production of graduation works to describe and summarize the process of applying Dunhuang statues and mural elements to fiber art in detail. |
