In the view of the ancients,the emergence of outstanding talents must be related to the humanistic atmosphere of the place they live.Shandong is the hometown of Confucius and Mencius,and has always been regarded as the holy land of Chinese culture,with a great number of talents and famous artists.In terms of painting,Zhanziqian in the Sui Dynasty,Li Cheng,Zhang Zeduan and Liang Kai in the Song Dynasty were all great masters of the painting world for thousands of years.However,since the Song and Yuan dynasties,the economic and cultural center shifted to the south of the Yangtze River,and the painting scene in Shandong became somewhat silent,with only Cui Zizhong,Feng Qizhen,Fa Ruochen,and Gao Fenghan as painters.In modern times,the situation has changed,with the emergence of a number of great artists such as Guo Weiling,Li Kuchan,Yu Jianhua and Cui Zifan.At the same time,due to the special historical and social environment of the twentieth century,a considerable number of traditionalist painters with profound knowledge and exquisite skills have been buried for a long time and are less known.For example,Huang Qiuyuan from Jiangxi,Chen Zizhuang from Sichuan and Liang Qi from Tianjin,etc.Examining the regions where they were located,it can be clearly found that almost all of them came from places with deep cultural deposits,and Zhang Fushan from Shandong once again confirms this point.This paper is a thematic study of Zhang Fushan’s landscape painting,with a century-long background of his life as a clue and his typical works as the focus of the study,divided into four parts: Chapter 1 introduces the background of Zhang Fushan’s era and his biographical experience,exploring Zhang Fushan’s state during the wave of changes in Chinese painting in the twentieth century,as well as his schooling and employment experience.The second chapter takes Zhang Fushan’s life as a clue and presents a comprehensive review and analysis of his artistic history,taking the three periods of his creation as a guide and summarizing the artistic style of his creation under different periods.The third chapter is an in-depth discussion and study of the reasons why Zhang Fushan turned to finger painting and his artistic style,from which it can be seen that his landscape painting composition and brush and ink language formed his own face based on the inheritance of his predecessors.The fourth chapter discusses the relevance of Zhang Fushan’s landscape painting,and discusses the inspiration of Zhang Fushan’s landscape painting to the creation of contemporary landscape painting in the light of his exploration of artistic path and the formation of his artistic style.
