| Yang Shen(1488-1559),also Yong Xiu or Sheng An,was a native of Xindu District,Sichuan Province(now Xindu District,Sichuan Province).He was a famous litterateur,philosopher and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty.In the past 30 years,the academic world has carried out research on him,mainly in the fields of literature,philosophy,classics,history,yet few attention was focused on his calligraphy.The author takes Yang Shen running and cursive script as the research object and mainly concerns the following three aspects:The first chapter discusses of Yang Shen’s life and the origin of his style of writing.Starting with Yang Shen’s life,this paper discusses the background of his time,the origin of his family studies,his official career,his books and records and his achievements on art.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons for the formation of Yang Shen running and cursive style.It is concluded that Yang Shen’s calligraphy style was influenced by the following aspects:the origin of Yang Shen’s calligraphy and calligraphy thoughts.The second chapter analyzes the artistic characteristics of Yang Shen’s running and cursive script in different periods.According to the style and features of Yang Shen’s running and cursive writing in different periods,the author divides it into gentle and elegant“Classic period” and naive “Reform period”.On the basis of stages,the author analyzes the artistic features of Yang Shen running and cursive script from the aspects of writing,structure,composition and ink.The third chapter expounds the practice and the inspiration of Yang Shen’s running cursive script.This chapter mainly describes the author’s feel and experience in the process of creation and writing practice.hoping through the study and creation process,the author can learn its rich nutrition and improve skills. |
