It is no doubt that the rapid development of construction industry in China accelerates its process of urbanization,but it also brings many environmental problems.In order to better implement the strategy of sustainable development,researches on circular economy in construction should be strengthened.The source text of the report is the 9th and 14 th chapters from the book Advances in Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling.Chapter 9 mainly discusses the influences of the pretreatments on recycled aggregates that produced by C&D(construction and demolition)waste.Chapter 14 is about the impacts of curing conditions on recycled aggregates concrete.By translating these two chapters,the author hopes that this report can provide Chinese researchers with foreign latest research results about recycled aggregates,and enrich the studies in this field in China thus promote the development of circular economy.The author translates the source text under the guidance of communicative translation theory,and she discusses the difficulties that encounters during the translation practice from the lexical level,syntactic level and textual level.Under the guidance of communicative translation theory,the author adopts different translation techniques and methods,which not only accurately convey the content of the source text,but also make the translated text more consistent with the language habits of the target readers and make it easy for them to understand.Four chapters can be found in this report.The first chapter is the background,purpose and significance of this research.In addition,this chapter also introduces the overall structure of the translation report.The second chapter is about the translation process,including preparations before translation,translating process and proofreading after translation.The third chapter aims to discuss the difficulties the author encountered in this translation practice from the following three aspects: lexical level,syntactic level and textual level.In the fourth chapter,the author summarizes the gains and limitations of this translation practice,and provides suggestions for the translation work in the future.After this practice,the author realizes that translation should convey the meaning of the source text clearly and completely to the readers,rather than mechanically translating the source text.The author should improve her understanding and expression ability in both Chinese and English to ensure the quality and readability of the translated text.In addition,the author should also increase her knowledge in some professional fields to ensure the efficiency of the translation work.
