A Study On The Narrative Strategy And Ethical Value Of The Disability Documentary

As a precious visual material,documentary film is the creator’s revelation of human nature,his perception of life and insight into social issues,with universal significance and eternal value.This article analyses the narrative strategy and visual language of documentaries on disability issues.The film will also help the government and society to find ways and means to help these groups to solve their livelihood and employment problems,giving them warmth and help and influencing more people in a subtle way,thus building a happy,warm and harmonious society.In order to provide textual guidance for the creation and practice of documentaries on disability,this paper will use narratology and ethics as the theoretical basis,and combine it with the author’s graduation work,“To the Sun”,to analyse and reflect on the problems that arise in the creation of documentaries on such topics in practice,and explore six aspects: an overview of the topic,narrative strategies,film and television language,ethical values,problems in creation and dissemination and measures for improvement.It also discusses the value of the creation and research of documentaries on the subject of disability from six aspects: overview of the subject matter,narrative strategy,film and television language,ethical values,problems in creation and dissemination and improvement measures.
