In recent years, with the continuous development of society, the living standard of disabled groups in our country has greatly improved. With the help of local governments, the employment problem of the disabled has been effectively solved, which effectively helps the disabled to realize their rights and values, and promotes the process of well-off people for the disabled. However, even if their lives improve,it is still hard to see the shadow of such people in real life. Many documentary creators aim at such groups.Due to the physical and mental particularity of disabled groups, the filming and production of documentaries are different from those showing ordinary people,so they must be handled with a cautious attitude. One of the outstanding issues is how to grasp the ethical issues of image creation,so as to better play the humanistic care value of such documentaries. This paper focuses on the "Research on ethical issues of Disability documentary".Guided by ethics, philosophy, documentary aesthetics and other theories, this paper adopts the research methods of literature research and case analysis. After watching documentaries about people with disabilities at home and abroad,it focuses on the relationship among creators, subjects, works and audiences from the perspective of philosophy and ethics.Analyze the ethical issues of this kind of documentary.Secondly, from the perspective of image text construction, this paper analyzes the formal ethics and content ethics of such documentaries.Through analysis,it is pointed out that the main ethical control of the documentary about disabled characters is the documentary creator, and the audience also has certain responsibilities and obligations in the process of transmission. The first part defines the related concepts of documentary on the subject of people with disabilities, ethics and morality, and at the same time expounds the related theoretical knowledge, namely narrative ethics, communication ethics and documentary aesthetics.By exploring the theories that have guiding significance for this paper, the following relevant research is effectively carried out.The second part focuses on the ethical relationship between the creator, the subject and the audience, and discusses the ethical issues of this kind of documentary. In the process of creation, the filming of a documentary will inevitably cause interference to the life of the subject.Under the intervention of the camera, both sides are in an unequal relationship between filming and being filmed. In the process of pursuing reality, the privacy of the subject may be violated. At the same time, due to the multiple interpretation of morality combined with the ethical feedback of the audience, the impact on the life of the subject is an ethical issue at the level of communication. All the problems must be faced and thought seriously because of the particularity of the subjects. The third part focuses on the content ethics of the documentary about people with disabilities. On the level of individual ethics,it includes three aspects: bioethics, emotional ethics and survival ethics. In terms of social ethics, documentaries of this kind not only allow the public to re-understand people with disabilities, but also,to a certain extent, show the social reality behind disabilities. The fourth part analyzes the formal ethics of the documentary about disabled people. In the later creation, how the content and form of the work fit and the degree of fit is an ethical issue at the later creation level. The author combined with specific video works, respectively from the narrative perspective, narrative structure, audiovisual language three aspects of discussion. The fifth part is the ethical reflection and creative inspiration of the documentary about the disabled characters.Through the analysis of ethical issues,it shows that the creators occupy the main position in the control of ethical issues, and points out that the creators should obtain informed consent and emotional identification before creating such themes, and at the same time, they can conduct self-discipline and internalization in the creation process,so as to put people first, reasonably build the image of the disabled and highlight the value of humanistic care.In addition, moral education can also improve the audience’s ethical quality and guide the audience’s rational evaluation.Through the creation, the author realized that the ethical dilemma of the documentary about disabled characters still needs the creator’s high ethical consciousness to achieve the balance between truth and ethics.
