Research On The Aesthetic Characteristics Of Generation Z Youth Documentaries

As a new generation of young people,Generation Z youth have remarkable characteristics in their social living environment,self-awareness value and group personality,they are not only active,out-of-the-box,imaginative,but also hope to be unrestrained,pursue freedom,and have an open and inclusive mentality.This paper takes the documentary on the theme of Generation Z youth as the text analysis object,which not only focuses on the growth story and inner world of the youth of this generation,but also reveals the current social situation and the emotional expression of Generation Z youth,transforms the emotional content of characters into specific documentary works,shows its unique aesthetic characteristics through image construction,and presents the aesthetic value of this type of documentary through the aesthetic appreciation of aesthetic subjects.This paper mainly discusses the aesthetic characteristics of Generation Z youth documentaries from five aspects.In the introduction,the author screened and analyzed the existing literature,and compared with the hot directions of research in this field,to provide a reference basis for the grasp of the characteristics of subsequent Z generation groups.The first chapter sorts out and defines the theory of Generation Z.Through the interpretation of the historical clarification of the Generation Z group,the definition of the concept of Generation Z youth documentaries and their aesthetic connotations,the intrinsic relationship between this type of documentary and aesthetics is explained.The second chapter discusses the aesthetic construction of Generation Z youth documentaries,mainly starting from the self-perception and construction of identity and the influence of various elements of society.The individual’s cognition of the self is not only reflected in the establishment of self-identity and cognitive system,but also in the expression of individual beauty.In addition,the influence of various elements of society also affects its self-identity and social behavior.Chapter 3 elaborates on the aesthetic expression of Generation Z youth documentaries.Taking the audiovisual aesthetics and imagery aesthetics in the documentary as an example,and analyzing the aesthetic expression of the graduation work.Finally,it returns to the emotional expression of the documentary,explaining that its aesthetic expression is the direction of emotion and aesthetic experience.Chapter 4 introduces the aesthetic value of its existence.In the beauty of the character image constructed and the emotional atmosphere created,the documentary enables the audience to empathize when they feel the different social life of others,and the emotions projected by different characters are manifested,and the aesthetic appreciation of the beauty and artistic value presented by the documentary is carried out.By analyzing the aesthetic experience of the subject in the appreciation process,the value of its aesthetics is expressed.Based on the graduation work The Door in Time,this study takes the young Z generation with distinctive personalities as the subject,disassembles and analyzes the shooting techniques and aesthetic style performance of its director,and discusses the value of the subject’s aesthetic psychology to documentary filming and creation,in order to provide reference for the subsequent shooting and creation of similar themes.
